GTA: LCS multiplayer is better than YOU

Played about three hours of GTA:LCS deathmatch with MAF over the weekend. I can't believe how easy it is to totally WASTE TIME in that mode. Car jousting, grenade spamming, molotov cocktail fights, human shields -- it's pretty much the ideal way to kill time with yer buddies.

Highlights include:

-- chasing MAF up an apartment's stairs with a freight truck while he screamed in horror
-- games of chicken with station wagons
-- being run over repeatedly by MAF's grandma avatar in a Harley
-- nasty rooftop sniping antics
-- cars being launched off hills at each other

Good times. Buy this game and support REAL INNOVATION (tm THE PSP).
 
You know some time in the coming months, I will get Liberty City Stories. But I will wager that I'm never going to get to play the multiplayer because I don't know another soul within 20 miles who owns a PSP.
 
We gotta get some tunnelling shit going on stat. Either that or I need to meet up with DCharlie somewhere for muh fix.

I hope those Warp Pipe guys could start supporting REAL gaming hardware. :(
 
I had a lot of fun with the multiplayer. There's a ton of modes but free for all is my favorite. we fought a lot and had some cool kills n what not, but sometimes just blowing everyone else up was fun enough.
 
Yes, Any Ad-hoc Game can be played over Team-X-link or xbox Connect.

not a whole lot od people play over them though. (or so I've heard)
 
I played this for 4 hours today. OMG this is one of the best multiplayer games EVER. And that was just with 2 people... Playing with six people = OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't iterate how utterly fun this game is.

After trying to get Warp pipe working correctly for three hours, we simply installed a VPN between two distant computers... Five minutes to set up, and the results were better !
 
Awesome news. Me and my brother will be getting it on release and one of my brother's friends has said that if it's that good in multiplayer he'll trade in a shed load of old PS2, PC and his NDS/games for a PSP and LCS.

This is so damn unfair. Why didn't they include infrastructure mode? I have no nerd friends. :( (ok i have no friends) :(

I'd try tunnelling but it seems they need the host PC to be wired to the router and mine is wirelessly connected.
 
yes the multiplayer is fucking sweet. my brother was coming at me fullspeed in a delivery truck but he failed to notice that i was on a rampage mission with a rocket launcher. he wasn't too happy. :lol
 
What I've read on the Tunneling possibility, is that no one can get it to work. Some kind of constant SSCI or something checking.

I need to find someone else to play against. I don't want to have to buy GTALCS again to match the 2 PSP's I have :(

I really tried to like it but sadly i still don't 'get' the whole GTA thing... back to playing castlevania for me.
 
I wish one of my friends would get a PSP and GTA so I could try out the multiplayer. All of them don't think PSP is worth the money, even after I show them GTA. If someone could get the tunneling working that'd be great, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Maybe after Xmas more of my friends will have it or something. At least then they don't have to pay for it :P.
 
Wow, a dig on the battery = serious ownage.

Drinky, you have to promise no more bait threads. The herd has been thinned out too much, if this is what passes as ownage now.

Don't get me wrong, I love the PSP. GTA looks interesting to me; as Mr. Drinky said, the multiplayer is fun. But, I know for a fact the battery life on a game like this could get annoying after awhile. 3 hours just seemed unreasonable to me.

No more Nintenjustice. Forget I ever said that. :D
