I wanted to get into this bit are there no missions for playing alone?

I tried to make some progress as I'm not level 7 but I had to get others to join to start the mission....

I'm not familiar with which missions are available at which level, but when you're picking one from the pause menu, the details panel on the right will show the min and max number of players. I just opened to browse through it and shows Ballas to the Wall is open at rank 5, and can be played by one or two players.

A friend of mine showed me a trick the other night to farm an expensive Vapid Sandking truck out in the desert for selling to LS Customs. I made a short video to show where on the map you need to go and what you need to do to trigger their appearance. Before you can start what's in the video, though, you have to do the following:

  • Start the 'Denial of Service' mission.
  • Blow up the first five trucks. This will kill the timer for the remainder of the mission.
  • Ignore the last truck you have to destroy for now. Fly or drive out to the desert, just north of the prison (shown in my video above).
Once you get one, you can park it in a garage (I bought the closest six-car garage to their spawn location just for farming them) and go back to repeat the process. The blue ones sell for $18.5K, yellow for $17.5K. When you're done farming, you can go finish the mission and get a fat paycheck for taking so long to complete it. Also, this works with multiple people in the game.

Nice! Thanks for that, it'll make looking for that stupid truck a lot easier than happening to be in a lobby and in that area at the right time in my Sandking.

I also do that mission a lot to stock back up on Sticky bombs and probably should've thought of that.

Ok thanks, ill have to look into it, Lamar did say I need at least three people but maybe I can change it?

If it's a Lamar mission then you have to have four people. Those can be challenging because you're stuck playing with randoms.

If you want to play specific contact missions, you can go to the Online tab in the pause menu and select Jobs > Play Job > Rockstar Created > Missions. Everything you have available to launch yourself will be in that list and the details I mentioned in my last post will show up on the right.

Is there any way to easily unlock metallic lime green? I don't particularly fancy working out what stunt jumps I have and haven't done.

Ah, I've been looking for this thread!

Recently got back into GTA5 in general, mainly because a friend wanted to play it, except he's now on a long holiday, and now I do actually want to play it!

Finished all the SP stuff so absolutely have no excuses now. I'm really surprised at how much they changed it since launch, as this is my first time playing it since the PS3 original. Just tried to do a heist setup mission now, and despite it being really easy, all my teammates were taking turns getting killed (despite them being lvl 40+ and me 5).

Would be nice to hear some voices, and actually have some coordination. I'm still relatively new, so my level is low, so hopefully people are kind (bored) enough to want to partner up with me through the missions.

My PSN ID: MyLoveIsAStapler

Just send me a message if you do request me!

The new Adversary mode is pretty fun. It's similar to Extraction that was created a while ago. You escort an armored up Target, who cannot jump or sprint, to a location fending off assassins.

The defending crew gets better weapons, RPG, Heavy Sniper, Special Carbine, Assault Shotgun, and the attackers get an Assault Rifle, Pistol, SMG, and a sawed off Shotgun. No vehicles whatsoever on the map. That's what different about it than Extraction, both fun gametypes though.

I don't have the time or the creativity to make anything with this, but I can't wait to see what kind of stuff the community comes up with.
Yes you do. Come on, you know you want to. If you have time to mess around in normal GTA and do racing, publish videos to your YouTube, then you can definitely snap together some random track bits and test them out. I'll even be a test dummy for ya!

Get outta here with your logic!

GTA Online looks to be down on all platforms. Certainly all of my friends and I haven't been able to connect for the past half hour on PS4, and Rockstar have acknowledged it on Twitter and their server status page.

EDIT: The servers have only just come back up, over five hours of unscheduled downtime. I wonder what happened.

Edit: saw some reports of it not working anymore so I tried again and got nothing, assuming it's fixed.

Money probably also won't be taken away, didn't happen after the hooker glitch back in the days. Just don't be greedy and raise suspicion by glitching tens of millions, treat yourself to some nice toys and call it a day.
But it's hotfixed, only works if you're still in the game and don't get a time out.

I've missed all money glitches so far, I even stopped playing when I got modded money back in billionaire days, because back then I thought it wasn't fair.

Won't make the same mistake now :D I'm squeezing absolutely everything I can from today.

edit: Hahaha, forced "important" update:

Man I missed this last night. Decided to play RB6 instead so only saw about this by morning, any other night I'm playing this..

By the time I bought the upgrades for the office and swapped characters I did it three times so only gained 1.1 million then the game crashed and upon starting the hotfix had been deployed. Some people had saved over 50 million and more.

Oh well back to boring ass grinding CEO crates.

Was a fantastic glitch.

Purchased a few things I wanted and glitched about 35 mil.

Gutted for the people who missed out like my friends at work, luckily I started later today.

I was experiencing connectivity issues all night last night... so no glitch for me. The servers finally dropped out, leaving a friend and I in a free roam peer to peer session. Experienced some weird glitches like me dying in the barber chair while my friend used me as a meat shield in a duel with cops. At one point it felt like the wanted level was broken. We were goofing off with 4 stars, but the police presence was off the charts. We were driving up and down Vinewood Blvd. and I had never seen that much NOOSE before. Frame rate dropping into the single digits.

Video? Of course not? Why would I hit the share button?

Against my better judgment, I did enough to pay for a yacht instead of waiting for them to go on sale again. I didn't want to get too greedy, but I probably should have made hay while the sun was shining. Oh well.
