They had to make compromises to insure they could get the game running. Now that they're more comfortable with the tech, they're bringing stuff back.Really? Coulda fooled me going from San Andreas to GTAIV.

I gonna go with 94.
Really? Coulda fooled me going from San Andreas to GTAIV. Oh wait, they only removed things people liked.
No. No it wasn't.
No. No it wasn't.
What "wasn't"? You bolded several different claims.
A solid 90 is my guess, but it could be 89.
If you're projecting scores...
I'm definitely going in the 90s.
But, there could be some reviews that lower that score to the low 90s, and that add a caveat saying something to the effect of, "Until GTA:Online is released on Oct 1, we have to look at this as an incomplete game without an online mode..." Personally, I could see Polygon doing that and then re-evaluating and updating the score to mid-90s once GTAOnline is released (unless it has a Sim City like bomb, but I kinda doubt that... after 1 o 2 days I bet the servers will be fine).
So, let's say, if reviewers revise their scores once GTA Online is out ... I think reviewers may drop a 96+, maybe even a 98 on it. Not only because I think it'll bea great game, but because I think it'll be the swan song of this generation and they'll want to do that.
Yeah, I agree with that 95. I wonder if people will be taking the reviews seriously or not because of GTA IV. Probably not.Metacritic predictions?
I'll start with a 95.
It'd be the lowest. 94 is the lowest right now IIRC.That would be a terrible metacritic score for a main GTA.

It was more about expectations with some people when GTA IV came out. Many just assumed Rockstar could make IV include all the content from SA, even though they explicitly said it would be different.
A perfect example is RDR. It lacked vehicles, there's very little music in the game, 95% of the map is barren and you couldn't even swim. Almost no one dings RDR for these faults because expectations were very low.
If Grand Theft Auto IV has 98...then just imagine..BOOM!!; 100. Nah. Realistically, I´d say 99.
New trailer on thursday guys.

99.
Anything less and it just proves that gaming has the shittest critics around.
How are the apartments going to work in multiplayer? Will everybody live in the same apartment building and when you enter "your" apartment the screen just cuts to the inside of the exact same apartment and view that everybody else has?
I'm even hyped about Buckethead's OT in 2 weeks...this is so sad lol
When Buckethead posted that he'd made his decision about the OT title, I thought for a moment that it was worth making a new thread to announce what it was going to be. New news and all. lmao.
So does this mean there is no possibility of a next-gen version of this before the end of 2013?
That would really suck if that was the case.

97. It won't deserve it, but it'll deserve it way more than GTA IV deserves 98.
Fucking army, fuck! I will miss this game just like I will miss everything interesting until July 2014. I won't experience the PS4 launch, GT6, none of them. Shit! At least I can watch videos...
