How so? It doesn't look nearly two whole decades more sophisticated systems-wise than Grand Theft Auto IV, which already was a truly immersive open-world simulation. Most of the advancements have come from the way the game is rendered -- so beautifully, if I may say so myself.

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced was GPU-bound on PS5, while doing multiple RT effects on a remaster of a remaster done by their B team of developers, meaning that the code wouldn't be as optimized as with a title built with the current generation in mind on a bespoke, cutting-edge build of their engine.

Remember, we're talking about Rockstar here, not those fucking pieces of garbage at CD Projekt RED. They got the best looking game last generation running at a true 4K resolution at the most rock-solid framerate that those useless Jaguar CPUs could allow -- now that is a CPU bottleneck.

The same Rockstar that puts the entire industry to shame with every new release. CDPR on the other hand, only put themselves to shame with their latest title -- one which perhaps should've used some headroom from that "most CPU optimized engine" into having anything resembling proper car physics or even an AI at least on par with that of GTA: San Andreas.

RDR2 was very impressive on technical level but gameplay still divides people, same story with GTA5.

Remember that CP2077 had MC score of over 90 when game was initialy only reviewed on PC? "Shame", yeah. PL has score of 89 and both main game and DLC have very positive reviews on steam. Only last gen console version sucked ass and should never be released.

CDPR releases technically impressive games and story continues with TW4 tech demo. Rockstar is probably better than them but it's also much bigger entity with way more money and people at disposal.
 
Npcs are only one part of Gta 6, there is much more simulated and calculated in the background.
Yeah but how do we know they can't run at 60fps? What have we seen simulated that prevents it? Not saying it will be 60fps but I've not seen anything special that can't just be scaled down for the mode. Hair? Disable it like AC:shadows for that mode. They could probably do a 60fps mode if they really wanted to. I'm fine with 30fps regardless, especially if 60 means lowered settings.

Go back and have a look at what it looks like and what's happening. The only thing that even comes close is Red Dead Redemption 2 and it doesn't even have to simulate half of it.

Simply placing hair or shadows on low will not help. The Cpu is simply too weak for that. But I also have nothing against 30 fps 60 would be nice but is more of a pipe dream.

I've seen it already countless times. It looks great but looks are mostly GPU. I'm not seeing anything specifically limited by CPU to be honest. Let's see what happens come release date.
