Yeap. So weird. I guess it's because some of the negative reviews are at the top of the OP?
Yeah...the placement couldn't be more obvious.
Regarding the movie, having more effective serious scenes seem like a plus to me.

Baby Groot alone seems like a forced gag machine that has been tested like crazy in focus groups.
To me, the GOTG series is the only one I'm cool with not taking itself too seriously. It kinda fits, despite the end of the first being comically bad on top of another who gives a fuck a villain. If 2 is like 1 which it looks like, I'm all in for it.Yay, another Marvel movie that takes itself even less seriously than the other movies already do. I think I'll pass. Baby Groot alone seems like a forced gag machine that has been tested like crazy in focus groups.
So just got done with the movie. The tone was all over the place, the humour mostly landed (although at times relied too heavily on slapstick), but the emotional scenes all fell flat. It was like the movie was too afraid of letting the audience feel anything other than laughter, even during pivotal emotional scenes they wouldn't let go on for more than 30ssconds before cutting in with some inappropriate lame joke. It's a shame because removing those few shit jokes that were awkwardly placed during those few dramatic scenes would have balanced everything perfectly. Instead the movie comes off as a worse Guardians of the galaxy 1 at its best and a Adam Sandler movie at its worst.
You're describing the first movie to me. That's what bothered me back then.
In the 90's on RT so far. Based on the reviews I've read, I think I'm going to love it just as much as the first. None of the criticisms really resonate with me so far.
why spoil shit like this
why spoil shit like this
I've read what the credits scenes are and I think you should look forward to them, as a comics fan.why spoil shit like this
I have read most of the spoilers and i disagree, the potential of one of them is so huge for the future ofand potentiallyMCUall marvel movies
Edit
I think i meant to quote Alienfan . Sorry
Cannot be worse than the people who do it on YouTubewhy tf is gamespot reviewing movies
I read the first page of this thread and got the impression the movie wasn't good at all.
Then I checked the RT score, user scores, Metascore, etc.
What scene if you don't mind me asking? I'm not a huge reader of the comics, so I probably totally missed it. Maybe PM me to avoid accidentally spoiling
If you ignore the utterly awful second act twist that basically ruins the MCU as a setting. God, that was so damn stupid. Then again, Winter Solider does remain Marvel's best movie.

I really don't know how to feel considering GOTG was one of the top 5 comic book flicks ever. I thought James was gonna Spider-Man 2 this thing, but he gave us Iron Man 2
The Stan Lee scene , which point to him as the Watcher which potentially means that all/most his cameos in movies are/ maybe actually in character. The watcher basically observe huge events in the marvel universes and each universe have a similar looking watcher. This basically means that all marvel movies even from Fox and Sony is potentially part of an multiverse. The watcher is also tightly linked to Fantastic Four which mean Fox may be playing ball and we may get FF soon in MCU. Basically it means potentially noting is impossible now for MCU/ Marvel movies
Yup lots of potentials there.

How in the world did you come to that conclusion?I really don't know how to feel considering GOTG was one of the top 5 comic book flicks ever. I thought James was gonna Spider-Man 2 this thing, but he gave us Iron Man 2
I think you are reading way too much into what seems like a fun easter egg

Iron Man 2 doesn't have a 92%, tho.

No idea what was instantly iconic and unforgettable about the first movie. How good was it really if that kind of momentum wears off before you've even left the theater to the sequel?

Probably because the person that created this thread put all the negative reviews first and then everything else after. Makes the movie seem worse than it is.
