He's very strong at low levels of play, but he's considered mid-low tier in general. Great character to learn the game with though.

It's bad enough that we have to play against Shadon, we don't need any more!
The problem is, I'd have to get the jap upgrade (only thing I can afford), but then I'm missing out on all story content, episodes etc... which means I'm basically paying for two characters I have no interest in and some minor tweaks...
It's hard to justify the purchase as I'm a bit short right now and do plan to get Injustice 2.
Plus hey, apparently you can switch back and forth versions so we can still play from time to time, us plebs won't be forgotten.

It will cost $20 to upgrade Rev to Rev 2 as DLC, and $40 to just buy Rev 2. So I guess you might be able to save a little overall, up to you.

If you're just going to squat on it until Rev 2 actually drops just wait. You're not really saving much. and to me it makes more sense to just buy the disc with everything rather than buying the disc early to buy a digital upgrade later.

Because raven was even worse and actually effective in comparison to leo, he basically became 0 effort millia with long range pokes and no Sol isn't worse than him in derp factor like raven players literally only have to learn a few short strings and some spacing and they are good to go

I'm free to Raven's knockdown and fireball set up over and over again. That was the matchup that knocked me out of Evo haha. But I understand it was my fault at that point of time. I really didn't fight too many Ravens, so I didn't really know how neutral would turn out to get to that point.
Raven's the "I don't know GG well, so my character's gonna do a lot of the work"
yet also the "I have strong GG fundamentals, so I can let my character do a lot of the work"

_/¯Leo can be like that once he get in but Leo will struggle in neutral, flow chart Sol play really doesn't work very well and his oki game isn't nearly comparable.
The game should be able to push 4K on a pro easily without any frame drops. If not 4K then some form of 1440P or 3K alternative using the checkerboard method.
It runs at 6400x3600 resolution without any issues on my setup. There's plenty of head room to push the game's image quality. The only reason I can think of them not doing this is because of the HUDs still being low resolution, but if they refreshed the HUD for the game then they could have dropped in 4K assets. The game uses about 4GB of graphics RAM at 4K. It shouldn't be an issue for the PS4 Pro.

Yeah lol even Raven players know the character is too linear atm. Like he's clearly not working as Arc intended him to.
The ones I talk to are actually pretty excited about the Rev 2 changes for introducing some element of strategy/risk to the character

The rev2 changes are good, and give you a reason to actually give a shit about his excitement gauge, instead of it being a completely wasted mechanic in Rev1.

Yes, but they haven't given a date yet. I'm guessing it'll be real close to the console release though.

Not all people were able to downsample this game (including me). I'm going to be so pissed if this problem persists with REV2. So pissed in fact that i will refund my money and refuse to buy anything from Arcsys ever again. Sorry for the little rant there, but they really should allow higher resolutions straight from the in-game options.
Raven has been very silly, no Raven player should be saying otherwise, haha. I don't know if I'll keep playing him in Rev 2(I really only played him for something simple compared to Chipp) but Rev 2's changes were certainly needed.

So I bought this yesterday and today I noticed I already had Dizzy. I vaguely remember downloading her back when she was free but I assumed that maybe I didn't since the game still wanted to charge me for it. Sure enough she's in my installed dlc list.

Pretty sure Rev 2 gives you all the DLC characters. So probably not worth buying them individually at this point if you don't already have them and are planning to upgrade to Rev 2.

She has 2 versions on PSN and they didn't shore them up like DOA5 kind of did with past DLC. Basically the free one doesn't show up in searches or anything now and you only see thew pay one, but you still have her license. Just don't try to buy her again because you will indeed be charged.

That's May's 6P(anti air) which she can hold, in Rev 2 the move keeps the upper body invincibility all the way until the attack comes out.
