GUN Review - Gamespot

Also, I saw video of this on G4 recently. It looked really stupid. Enemies were being tossed in the air all over the place. It didn't look very good at all.

I'm picking this up later today. I'm a sucker for westerns, whereas most of you are just cold suckas.

:lol be sure to post your bracing impressions.

I'll have to try it for genre reasons myself.

Why doesn't someone get wise and make a sweet game with this guy in it based on the series from way long ago.

It can be a westerner, but with the Kung Fu spin on it. That would fucking rule if done right. DO IT SOMEONE!!!

I'm getting the game as well. Are we going to make a designated thread for GUN impressions or what?

Why the fuck is this game 60 bucks for the Xbox 360? No way in hell does it deserve this price tag.

Kind of wonder why Activision didn't make a collector's edition of this for $60 like they've done with every other release they've put out recently?

I'm also quite tempted to go grab the game, Greg Kasavin be damned.

...I'm just gonna be twice as pissed if it turns out to be not so good after I was told so already.

Then you should be pissed at yourself though.

I'm playing through it right now (renting) and it's quite fun. I'm not exactly sure how the "missions" are laid out, gameplay is pretty linear but beyond that, the gameplay is fun, story is interesting.... and what's this bullshit about NOT being able to bond with your horse? I have. :D

A sequel for this game on next-gen platforms would destroy all other Western games!
Thanks to SotC I want a horse in every game, western or not. :D

Red Dead Revolver got 7.3, and I enjoyed that one a lot. There's hope! :P

I was just about to say the same thing!

RDR was great; I really really liked it. GUN seems like the spiritual succesor to me (this game is made by a completely different studio, right?).

However... Like I did with Red Dead, I'll probably wait for this one to hit the ol' $20 pile before I purchase. Which, going by the 'meh' atmosphere surrounding the release of this game, shouldn't be too long before we see it discounted heavily.

I'm a survivor of the struggle, I live by the code
In the city where greed and envy make ya heart turn cold
At 17 years old I was ahead of my time
I had to roll with the punches and keep my ducks in a line
I keep my mind on my money, I keep my mind on my paper
I keep a glock inside my pocket for all these jealous haters
