Gunbarich & Strikers 1945 coming to Switch eShop by Zerodiv (supports portrait mode)

I'll be in for Strikers 1945 in the hopes that it might lead to a release for Strikers 1945 III which is one of my all-time favorite shmups.

Man, so Switch getting Aero Fighters 2 and a Strikers 1945 on the same day in the US? That's a good Thursday.

Get yourselves the Hori PlayStand. It's £9.99 here in the UK.

Both games are out now in Europe as well. Unfortunately no discount tho.

Edit: The menus etc look like the releases of Hamster. Interesting. Who is ZeroDiv? never heard of them.

Not a fan of gunbird 2 or strikers 1999??

Both are primo but tough as shit

Pretty, no doubt. Their coin eating rank bullshit can fuck off. I haven't played their library extensively though so it all kind of runs together for me. Admittedly might be a bit unfair of an assessment so I dunno, we'll see.

Both are out on the Australian eShop but they're $10 AUD each.

Good thing the Switch is region free, I can buy both of these from the Japanese eShop for $11 total.

When was the last time Giga Wing was ported to anything? I'd like to see Capcom release that.

There were ports of both games on the Dreamcast (the first is pretty crippled by input lag though) as well as Gigawing generations on the PS2 (which has serious frame rate issues).

Capcom only published the first two games and Taito published generations. The developer is actually Takumi.

Well, it is a Neo Geo game, after all.

It's also not a Psikyo game, so the rights are owned by different people. (Psikyo split from Video System after the original Aero Fighters because they didn't want to make Neo Geo games, allegedly.)

Ah! Thank you for clarifying! :)

What are the steps one needs to follow to buy stuff from the Japanese eShop?

I think I have a lot of arcade games to buy *cough*

Strikers 1945 was my favorite in the arcades. Could get to stage 7 on one quarter. (After spending too many.) Picking this up for sure. Awesome.

There used to be a Strikers 1945 machine in the laundromat in Hackensack, MN (a town of about 200 people). We go there every summer and I always looked forward to playing it. They got rid of it about 7 or 8 years ago.

I love Strikers 1945.
I know if you did well enough the characters would undress in the ending. I wonder if they replaced it with something or if they're going for that hard M rating that that retro shmup fans crave.
