Gunbarich reminds me of this really cool Breakout X Pinball game I played a looooong time ago called "Ultraball". Not a defining name at all, especially at the height of Breakout clone popularity, but it was probably my favorite Breakout clone.

Both games are out now in Europe as well. Unfortunately no discount tho.

Pretty, no doubt. Their coin eating rank bullshit can fuck off. I haven't played their library extensively though so it all kind of runs together for me. Admittedly might be a bit unfair of an assessment so I dunno, we'll see.

There were ports of both games on the Dreamcast (the first is pretty crippled by input lag though) as well as Gigawing generations on the PS2 (which has serious frame rate issues).
Capcom only published the first two games and Taito published generations. The developer is actually Takumi.
Well, it is a Neo Geo game, after all.
It's also not a Psikyo game, so the rights are owned by different people. (Psikyo split from Video System after the original Aero Fighters because they didn't want to make Neo Geo games, allegedly.)

There used to be a Strikers 1945 machine in the laundromat in Hackensack, MN (a town of about 200 people). We go there every summer and I always looked forward to playing it. They got rid of it about 7 or 8 years ago.

Gunbarich is a paddle-based spinoff of another Psikyo shmup series called Gunbird. It's a weird choice for a launch title but it's not a bad game.

Strikers 1945 Plus is also available as a PSOne classic for the PSP, Vita and PS3.
Eum, Strikers 1945 Plus never came out on the PSone, so no.
It did get released on the PSP though.
