It's obvious that Arians make terrible boyfriends.
 
So the Arians could travel to and from their world at will?

It was definitely a success for them. But being the most sold/bought doesn't make it good. Just easy to market.

SEED wasn't a mess, it was pretty well plotted out and straight forward. Yes it ripped off a lot of what came before, but this isn't new. And frankly it was more coherent than some of the crap that came before it with how random/sloppy some of the shows were, like ZZ, V, and X.

Now Destiny, that was a train wreck, which clearly dragged SEED through the mud and ruined what little reputation it had. SEED I still think was enjoyable and solid series, Destiny just was so so bad that it tainted many peoples opinions of the franchise.

I dunno, I mean, Mashita obviously cares about her, but it's hard to say exactly how. He spends a LOT of time turning to her for comfort when things go wrong.

ZZ was fine. That it's one of the few Gundam shows that doesn't rely on killing half the cast is evidence of that.
 
Now make this a kit I can buy. Not digging the textured chrome/metal look for some of the parts though.

That's a really nice looking custom. Thinking about it more, why did the Chairman have yuki change the color scheme? That takes a lot of time and work.

I hated SEED before it was cool! I don't think I even bothered with Destiny until like 4-5 years after SEED.

That's not evidence of anything. Good shows have killed off protagonists and bad shows have let them live against all odds.

SEED is a mess not because it's plot wasn't easy to follow, but because of how uninspred the whole series, is. Then bad character design, reused animation sins, Super Saiyan Gundams and beam spam, and alot of other stuff. Most of the characters (for me, and many others) aren't enjoyable in the least bit. SEED Destiny's nonsense plot is just the icing on the franchise cake.

ZZ has it's sloppy moments but outside of
Judeau's sister
I wouldn't say the characters being alive is from from because the writers "let them live against all odds".

Every gundam has stuff you mention there , hell i rewatch Wing the other day and the reused animation was just as bad as SEED same for the Super Saiyan Gundams in shows like 00 , ZZ , Victory etc etc .
I don't like destiny but SEED is a better show than half the gundam shows .

EDIT i would love to support GBF but the blu ray have no subs :(

CCA was ruined by Quess, also dumb newtype magic asspull ending
Wing is about equal to SEED, Relena singlehandily puts it below SEED though
X was really mediocre and fell apart towards the end
F91 was pretty mediocre too
OO2 had battles won through singing

Parts of Unicorn would be completely meaningless if you didn't see ZZ. Which you should do anyway, since ZZ is the best UC show.

in season 2 sei and reji will use their 'RG +' to defeat the majority of their enemies in fist fights, in season 3 'RG' mode will be upgraded to super saiyan mode and it turns out reji was a ghost all along

showed up! Ultimate hype.

I wouldn't mind a second season of the show, mainly because it's actually good, but it would be nice for a "real" gundam show again. I guess I just want a mecha anime that's good, or atleast fun, instead of just melodrama with occasional robots, and I hope this encourages bandai to have less bullshit in their next production.

Watching 00 shit all over itself in the second season still hurts. And the movie was so awful that it was a surreal experience just watching it.

CCA and Wing are ruined by one side character but SEED isn't ruined by its many terrible leads?

Quess is awful and Relena is kind of annoying too (but I think a little misunderstood, as is a lot of Wing really) but at least they weren't the focus of their stories. Kira, Lacus, Fllay and to a lesser extent Cagalli are not only terrible but the whole show revolves around them. Athrun is the only SEED lead who doesn't suck, though Destiny manages to get him later.

I actually really like F91 myself, even if it moves at an incomprehensible lightning pace. The animation is great and the MS designs are pretty slick, especially the F91 itself.

lol no. ZZ is the worst UC anything, except MS Igloo, which I've never been able to watch because it's so ugly. Well, maybe it's better than 0083 too, which went down the drain *hard* at the end.

Sounds like another series in the Build Fighters line is all but confirmed? "Can't make a new series even if it's popular, there hasn't been any discussion regarding the scenario and there's been no quotes for designs" all followed by a #aprilfools.

Loved the series, hope they keep any sequels as light-hearted as the original.

IMO SEED's characters are at worst boring, and not story-ruining annoying like Quess. Flay was almost that, but she wasn't really in the story much after the beginning. Kira, Lacus and Cagalli were fine in SEED. They weren't really ruined until Destiny.
