Well they set the model damage to B for this tournament. I don't know what that means, but I assume B still means some damage right?

Way too much school bullshit going on right now. Time to bring on the adults.

The interaction between kids and adults was a big highlight of season one.

wow at the insane amout of shipping.

I love Gyanko so this episode was sad, we all knew that would happen but COME ON it didn't have to be complete defeat. :(

I hope next week is the first real fight in the series.

Poor Gyanko though. i was expecting her to put up a better fight.

Mega-Shiki is boss though.

... Wow, that's a good point. I had actually forgotten about that happening last week. That was like the first time Burning got damaged... Would have been nice if they at least mentioned who fixed it.

The building part of the series has been totally gloss over .
Which is a shame since it was so good in season 1

Damn. Team Gyanko got absolutely destroyed it wasn't even as fight. How could they they that to her!?

My dislike of Sei will be put away for the next episode and that I may cheer when he asspulls a win.

Actually, now that it's established via flying armbar that Sekai knows some grappling and isn't just your standard shounen powerup punches and kicks martial artist, and the g-fighter did a joint lock in the last episode, will we have our first grappling match between mobile suits? Has this happened before?

G Gundam had grappling.

Russia vs Canada I believe.

Fellini lost to kirara in season 1 by submission, his gundam even blushed because of it. ;D

Gundam-GAF; We are having a Gunpla Tourney. What is the Gunpla you take with you? A main, and a spare. Pictures, if possible. Don't be afraid to use that imagination, too. Anything is possible with Gunpla!

GO!

That sad music playing and Sekai looking so confused and yelling GYANKOOOO was just cringeworthy. This season is really lame so far.

The fights have been kinda weird.
Team Try just kinda tanks attacks until the Seki pulls off a finisher. Not even a real back and forth with regular punches/kicks except against Shimon.
Well, its like rather than actual team fights its three 1vs1 where each fight has less time to be focused on or something.

Hmm, I actually really like melee suits like Gyan, R-Jarja, or Sandrock Custom, but I'd probably suck actually using them.
I liked using the Messala in the SDGO game, so that.
Mabye something like the GM that you'd have in the starting parts of MS Saga.
A GM with a Z'Gok claw, Dom legs, and Gouf shoulders that I colored monochrome blue.

Zakrello or Baund Doc.
How embarrassing would it be to lose to either of those?

RG WZC painted white-grey with Moonlight Butterfly system in the wings.

From a pure wanting to win perspective, I feel like the Turn X has to be a good choice because your opponent would have to kill every piece of it to actually eliminate you. I'd probably modify some of the bits to have weapons besides the particle cannons in case my opponent has an absorb shield like Star Build Strike did.

Second suit would be something like a Delta Plus, mounting a stealth system like the Deathscythe Hell's active cloak if that could be incorporated into the transform system. The idea of a suit that could transform into a fast stealth fighter sounds fun.

Artist's rendition of your impending doom:

Yes, I gave it a psycoframe.

GN Drive isn't cool looking.

I thought about funnel feathers.

I figured I needed an "awakening" for when people Trans-am/Ex-am/Super Mode me.

You know, you actually made something occur to me. We never saw any mobile suit with more than one super mode equipment, right? I wonder if that's against the rules.

Mao's Moon System + Solar System was the closest we got I think.

I'm pretty sure Sekai has SEED.

My two (at this time) would be;

Kampfer Ornata Equipped with;
-One of Kshatriya's binders. For mostly defense purposes. Mounted in the binder a single sub-arm, with a spare Beam Saber. A surprise attack kind of weapon, that I would only use when close (i.e., when they think I'm out of arm's length).
-An IMR Rifle (shamelessly stolen from CoD: Advanced Warfare). 3 burst rifle, that renews it's cartridge over time due to 3D printing tech, if given enough time.
-A rail gun (shamelessly stolen from Halo). It would behave much more like the rail gun from the Metal Gear Solid series however, with literal bursts of lightning that can be charged for more powerful attacks.

-External Propellant Tank x2 for higher mobility and operational times.
-Reinforced frame.

I'm still putting together the mockup for the second frame! Happy holidays guys!

Spiegel while riding Fuunsaiki that can gattai into a crazier super german ninja version of itself. Maybe something for long range too, idunno.

Big O with a GN drive so I can get around it's mobility issues. Otherwise Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Because why the fuck not.

Lol. Big O with a GN Drive sounds epic, though.

Henshin Ninja Arashi had a white horse ninja. As in, a dude who could transform into a white horse.

Episode 8

So, hey, totally forgot to write a review of this episode. Tells you something about how I felt about it. This episode is a perfect example of everything I find so frustrating of Gundam Build Fighters Try. The fights are good, but the plot that builds around them just deflates their importance.

Two huge instances in this episode that are sort of a reverse of each other. First is the fight between Team Try Fighters and the Mobile Armor team. The show spends time trying to build up this team as a real competitor for Team Try, yet gets stomped. This has happened way too much. How am I supposed to feel like any team is going to put up a real challenge when as soon as the Try Fighters show up, they fall to pieces? It destroys dramatic tension.

The bigger issue is how they used Gyanko's team was used to put these new rivals over the top. Using her team just makes no sense in this scenario. We already seen Gyanko's team get destroyed by the Try Fighters before they even got their suit upgrades. How is the fact they lost to this new team supposed to setup their strength in this case? Once again, this show is trying to have its cake and eat it too. It doesn't want an important team to lose, yet it needs to build up these new rivals.

Team Try Fighters need to lose this week. This is the first team that actually seems worthy to go against them. To waste them by letting them lose, even a close match, when they have no other good opponents set-up would hurt this show even more. Some adversity for the Try Fighters and some actually good opponents would do this show wonders.

00 Qant Full Saber, but... black or something.

Hi-Nu with Strike Freedom's wings.

Three new GBF kits coming this month (not including the separate Mega shiki backpack addon). I've been looking forward to the R-Gyagya.

Oh right, no ep today right?

EDIT: My bad, it's tuesday today, I thought it's wednesday now lol

New episode tonight! It's going to be their toughest match to date. How will they fight their way out of this one?

What an episode. I liked the whole
"its over no wait not yet now its over no wait hold on"
thing the show had.
The ending was... weird? I mean,
there's no explanation as to why the punch failed or why the Mega-Shiki broke.
Still, a really cool match. The
"burning mode" or whatever it'll be called was neat, although more flashy lights and shit would have been cool.
It's no Plavsky Mode Build Strike, that's for sure.
Also we got to see
Yukki
which is 10/10 all day every day

Damn, the ridiculous punches, the power-ups, the dockings

What an episode. I'm glad they saved their obviously limited animation budget for the fight that actually mattered

Also, I guess the explanation is that all the damage in B-mode is simulated and all the damage in A-mode is actually happening to the gunpla
I can't believe he just assaulted his team-mate and that's supposed to be OK.

Isn't slapping sense into people a Gundam tradition?
