So boring and lame.
Seeing it side by side like this just makes it even more apparent how it just seems that they didn't know how to properly upgrade it. It still doesn't even barely resemble the God Gundam, and apart from that it ended up actually looking worse from it's base design anyway. I don't think it has a single characteristic that is made to remind people that this was based on the God Gundam, except for maybe the shoulders but even then c'mon. No chest opening, no double crests, no gauntlets, no core lander like backpack. The fire wheel thing somewhat works but I still wouldn't think of the God when seeing that.

Just add more of that blue shit for when he turns orange was most likely their thinking here. So dull and uninspired. The Lightning not going the Zeta to Double Zeta route is a missed opportunity as well.

awesome episode simply by breaking the formula of 1st half to setting the battle and 2nd half for the battle. and we got two battles in one episode.

Okay, holy shit, has Alia returned and is going to show Sekai how to build a better Gundam? Along those lines, we have Meijin Kawaguchi III, who now has even more swagger these days, training Yuuma Kousaka in the subtle art of quit being a raging whiner who is self-sabotaging himself and buckle up already. Also, we had better get a real match between Perfect Gundam III and The End in the main tournament or we riot. We are also introduced to the Lady Kawaguchi, the woman who has been in the shadows and the idol of Fumina Hoshino. She too is here to teach a lesson but what that is and why she is doing it is all very murky right now, maybe we should get some insight into that later. Basically what we got here is the start of a training arc, which makes sense since they are at summer training camp, and it is good to see that this series is turning the corner.

This episode just re-enforces my dislike of Yuu who acts like a self-assured mook when he's fighting scrubby players but then rages and acts like a quitter when he gets his ass handed to him by his 'rival'. Glad to see Meijin knock some sense into and hopefully become a better fighter for it. Also was great to finally see Fumina in a solo battle using Winning Gundam for once since she is ALWAYS supporting someone else in battle rather than going toe-to-toe herself. Also shows she's certainly not as good as a gunpla pilot as one would expect either since she clearly doesn't have much command over her own weapons which is why Kawaguchi wrecked her. As for what she's lacking I have some ideas at what they're getting at.
Oh and looks like this season will have an Aila too.
Sidenote: Kawaguchi's SD Zero Gundam Gunpla was amazing. I want it.

Yuu needed to get some sense smacked into him and get his shit together. I was thinking it was going to eventually be Sei but Yuuki works as well. Also Fumina better lock it down before not-Aila steals Sekai away.
So was the end of the episode saying that Sekai has been fixing the Build Burning on his own this whole time?

The episodes have been good for a while since the anime quit the regional tournament.
I think the progression of the series will be something like this.
Ep 1-12 Regional Tournament
Ep 13-24 National Tournament
Ep 25-?? World Tournament (God Gundam upgrade probably)

Her Gundam is a support unit, I doubt it was meant to handle that much firepower. Also, it was probably meant to look cute 
Who's there to compete with him? Sei is the only one who could build better a Gunpla but I doubt he has as much piloting skills.

how old is Sei and Kawaguchi again? didn't the tournament we had right now is junior category with age limit, so they shouldn't be able to fight the older player even if they got into world championship are they?
