Alright, since a lot of you seem to claim Barter 6 is good.. I'm going to give in and listen to this fucking guy.. But please give me a list of all the good tracks, can't be arsed to sit through the whole thing!

Can't Tell, Check, Dream, Dome, Halftime, Od, Just Might Be. Honestly, they're all on the same level pretty much, imo, so if you don't like those you won't like the rest. Also Barter 6 was surprisingly mellow and subdued compared to the few songs of him I knew before (though, the recent leaks with older songs sound a lot like that, too, so I might have had wrong expectations).

Check these, too:

My copy of Israeli Salad came in just now. Gunna wait till dinner to sit down and make a drink, smoke a bowl and just go...

Israeli Salad is probably the hardest hitting collection of Alchemist production in a while. Bumps In The Whip™. Great album.

Currently listening to the most recent Combat Jack Show podcast with Denaun Porter; dude not only talks about a bunch of interesting stories from back then with Proof, Em and Dre but also showcases his new EP and damn some of that shit is straight fire, at least production wise.

Nice, there's a bit about Dilla apparently. Will check out.

It's great. Like it more than Russian Roulette.

Lots of 1-2 listen impressions on this Rocky album and it got me thinking: how many times do you guys typically listen to an album before reaching a final opinion? Obviously it can vary depending on the density/depth of the music but say on average.

I only really need to listen to an album once or twice. If I dont like it initially im probably not going to like it ever.

Realize that means you're siding with a graduate of ICYeezy College

you chose these allies bruh

Or maybe because he changed his image to look like Ol' Dirty Bastard's disappointing 3rd son.

...fuck

Testuo and Youth is obviously a classic because there are 9 minute tracks and he raps really really fast.

it's like OT finally found this thread

A lyrical tour de force almost in the vein of Ras Kass' Soul on Ice

As a career Lupe hater I resent the notion that we've been told to hate him. Hating/stanning Lupe wars is an olde gaf hop tradition, RIP ReconYoda. I don't think anyone hates him, but his stans here really fled the sinking ship around Lasers and never looked back (i'm looking at you Overcast)

Or they all got banned for being insane human beings.

+1, i deny the deposit that either kudi or lupe got classics as well
ain't trynna hear about how great CM punk was in the era of Cena nahmean

Double post but man....FUCK

I was thinking you guys were jumping the gun calling this better than Roulette already but 14 tracks in and I might have to agree

I like this new Red Pill. Mellow Music group has some decent artists. The only two I don't like so far are Kiss and Hug, and Georgia Anne Muldrow. I'm also getting into some Lighter Shade of Brown and De La Soul.

Mick Jenkins - P's & Q's video.
For the "P's & Q's" video, we wanted to shoot something with a constant flow of motion to complement Mick's unending verse. I created the idea of Mick walking through a scene of complete chaos, yet being unaffected by everything. To create that effect, I had Mick walk backwards from left to right through the entire scene as people pelted him with various items. That way, once we reversed the footage, Mick would look like the only person moving forward and everything would lift off of his body, leaving the chaos behind. Everything in the shot — the fire, water, even the train — was in-camera. We did no VFX whatsoever, and the actual shot only took 15 seconds to film at 240 frames per second, or 10 times slower than real-time. At the end of the video, the water bottle that floats into Mick's hand symbolizes that his words and lyrics hold the truth amongst all the other nonsense people are exposed to.

RIP Blasian, hope it's not perm

BTW, you can listen to the Denaun Porter album here

Really liking this, would love to hear other impressions

I'll listen to this when I wake up if I remember haha
Speaking of, my buddy just bought D12 World lol
I was wondering if Eminem produced most of the songs and as I was looking at the production credits....I noticed that the song "D12 World" was produced by...........
Kanye West lol weirdest beat I've heard from him

Feeling "In the Night" more than "I Can't Feel my Face" but I can see why the latter will be a bigger if not massive summer hit
The Weeknd hasn't tweeted anything so him and the label are either pissed af or prepping a proper rollout asap

Damn I used to love that beat!
This is one of his strangest beats, sounds nothing like him at all.

Oh, just realized the original version of the beat is on that early Kanye beat tape that was uploaded a few weeks ago:
