That's really my point. Also there really isn't a way to compliment a woman's appearance without the possibility of it being misconstrued into some sort of misogynist power play.

Yeah it's an atrocity for sure.

I mean - its basically what Courage said. Its a really shitty position for her, because he's sexually harassing her on air, and either she can say something, and it gets awkward/she puts the interview in jeopardy, or she goes along w/ it and is marginalized and feels shitty, like she did.

Snoop's 1950s gender politics aren't going to change, but we definitely can call him out on it

Untrue, there's a time and place for everything. It's just that Snoop has been in 'don't give a fuck' mode for years now so there's no filter with what he says or does.

It's a good thing that he got called out for it, but I honestly don't think that he meant it as an insult and was complimenting her

The bottom line is that you shouldn't do it on camera, it's going to backfire on you no matter what

Snoops problem is that he went too extra with it even when it started off like a compliment. Dude was kinda smacking his chops a little by the end there

I was on mobile didn't actually hear the way he said, it's much worse than I first thought jeez, nevermind carry on ya'll are right. Now the whole bit about her role being dominated by males and that coming into the fray is a pretty far stretch.

in this year of our lord Snoop's hugable-pimp shit finally gets noticed

Its different when its in lyrics because you can play it off as power fantasy bullshit, but when it is actually in real life, its shitty to others. Also, we've grown up alot as a society.

SO TO CANADA.

yeah I would say what snoop said wasn't cool at all, but the camera person is running with this all the way to the other end

growing up as a society would be to recognize that snoop is irrelevant, if this situation helps that end, im all for it, but it was long overdue

It's one thing to kick gyal an inappopriate compliment, dude was ~30 seconds away from asking her what that thang smell like

lol more or less. wonder if the rap game will evolve, more and more misogyny and shit is getting pointed out in all forms of media. it's only a matter of time before rick ross SHEENEOIT and shit like that starts to prop up in the major news coverage rather than just online.

People getting mad at Snoop in 2015? TBH his approach is somewhat refreshing. He doesn't give a fuck and won't make fake apologies. He's ignorant and doesn't care.

He just played at a local festival that was mostly hipster bluegrass bands. He was the closer. Snoop gracing all music scenes without discrimination.

Truly a pioneer of #+ity2k15

Damn, she seems pretty rattled. I don't disagree with anything she said.

Was pretty uncalled for, you can't get away with that shit in any other circumstance besides being a rapper but you still have a thin line to walk.

Snoop OD'd w/ the shitter/critter line but She making it out to be a lot more than what it is. Think its a cultural thing cause I cant see an American reporter really catching feelings about it

Would be more like " twitfam Snoop Dogg said i was thick 😍😍😍🙌🙌"

I aint with #sensitivity2k15

It ain't even just misogyny or w/e. Dudes being a creepy ass old man lol. We're now in that era where our 90s/00s rap idols are entering Larry Holmesville and probably misusing viagra+coffee and struggling with the children they raised somewhere nice, 1000 degrees of separation from whoever they used to be decades ago.

Anyway, it's fucking Snoop Dogg. Recall that he's killed a man before.

Lmao yeah. It's bad for dudes at any age, but it adds a really weird layer when it's a dad in his 40's.

Finally finished Witcher 3 brehs. So sad it had to all end.
Nice. I'm a little stalled in Velen, feel like I'm too low a level for so much stuff (didn't really have that problem in White Orchard) but I'm gonna try and get back into it this weekend.

New Denzel is great probably his best project yet IMO.

I've only had a chance to listen to the first few tracks but right away it seemed to be a return to the Strictly 4 My R.V.I.D.X.R.Z. sound with it's lo-fi, trippy vibes. N64 was cool but this is def where he shines.

I've been very pro-Rocky since I first heard LiveLove a few years back, but the new shit is just so unengaging. I keep trying to listen to it but I just tune out completely. Being boring is one of the worst things a project can be guilty of. At least some misfires can manage to be interesting.

I almost fucked with LSD for being a departure from his usual sound until I realized just how corny it is. That's an artist trying to reach into territory that's simply out of his grasp. But at least that was something different, the rest is exactly what you'd expect from him. A few of the bangers like Max B and Lord Flacko are nice, but they're been-there done-that material for him. Most of it isn't bad or offensive per se, but when I try to listen to it, it just leaves me with that feeling where I'd be better off spending that time with his older shit or a different artist all together. I still like the guy and feel he's capable of making some quality shit when the stars align, but he's been treading water creatively since the mixtape and that's not a good sign. He's fallen into the same rut as KRIT and J. Cole where he's got undeniable talent but he keeps just re-iterating the same sound with each project, which gets increasingly dull outside of a few highlights here and there.

Conclusion: throw a few tracks into the hip-hop pl on my phone and forget about the rest (not that I could forget what I never remembered in the first place...).

Alla was one of those albums for me where the initial listen is artificially positive. On first listen it was like surprisingly good and enjoyable, especially the production. Then I never thought about it again and have no desire to revisit it lol.

I still believe in Ferg. I've shared my disappointment in Ferg Forever a few times already, but it's a good example of what I meant by an interesting misfire. It's all over the fuckin place, but I could feel the guy really putting himself and his energy into the music. It was a mess, but I'll take that any day over Rocky's more collected tepidness.
