I dont like roguelikes, should I still play it? Guide me papitos
I'd give it a try at least. I'm generally not a fan of the genre either, but I really enjoyed Hades a ton.

It's very cleverly designed in a way that makes the entire rouge-like gameplay concept itself make sense thematically within pretty much all aspects of the game.

Damn tis been a banger year.

Genuinely shocked people think gaming is dead and complain about not having games to play.
Seriously. This is the best year for gaming we've had since 2015. It doesn't beat 2015 (Witcher 3, Bloodborne, MGSV, Fallout 4, Soma, Dying Light 1, Arkham Knight, new Tomb Raider; unbeatable), but it's the closest we've gotten since.

It seems good, but I hate the roguelike genre with every fiber of my being... and the saturation of that kind of game only makes me even less inclined

I'm not the biggest fan of roguelikes either but i played Against the Storm which has roguelike elements and i loved it so i'm not that opposed to roguelikes anymore.

Ive played about 7 hours like a year ago, dont wanna watch reviews to avoid spoilers, anyone knows if it is worth starting a new save in my case?

So, they keep talking about it still being in early access. Isn't 1.0 releasing on the Switch 2 tomorrow? They don't do EA on the Switch 2 so is the game complete?

The first one was awesome, the game that sold me on roguelites. So this isn't surprising.
Shame about no Ps5 version, though I might pick it up on steam and see if it works decently on my 1050ti laptop (the first one did). The fact it's only $15 with regional pricing doesn't hurt.

Then watch the DICE awards?
They have a more serious tone, there's no unnecessary celebs and music numbers and the show isn't 50% ads for chinese gacha games and GAAS slop.
Also the nominees and winners are selected by peers from the actual industry and not journos.

Of course they don't have "world premiere" trailers and reveals nor do they have the same production values because there's no chinese gacha ads to pay for them. So no one cares about them.

What a year it would have been to watch the GOTY award if the Pope ever fucking went away already and we got a serious show instead.
You mean Dice, the ones that gave GOTY to 'fallout 4' in 2015 over witcher 3 and bloodborne? Or 'Untitled Goose game' in 2019? If the TGAs did that, nobody would be talking about them or taking their GOTY seriously.

I used to dislike rogue likes... until the first Hades. Since then, it's become a favourite of mine (Slay the Spire is my GOAT). Looking forward to giving this a try.

Really high scores, as expected. Hades got its hooks in me earlier this year, phenomenal game.

A friend played the early access version and praised it a ton so for a while I was tempted doing the same. I want them trophies though, so I'll just get it when it releases on PS5.
