Amir0x said:To be fair, originally they weren't. They gave it an extremely high score.
Later down the road in a now-famous article, they wrote how they feel Halo is extremely overrated and how they now see the score they gave it was unwarranted.
Kanbee-san said:Just cant beat that Halo 2 live experience. Half Life's single player was miles better, but CS, has all been done to death.
Kanbee-san said:They gave it 85 and whinged about having to use a controller......
You see kids, PC centric reviewers are evil.... just ask the schmucks at firing squad who delibrately gave Halo 2 a 7/10 just to prep up Half Life 2 on gamerankings.

MightyHedgehog said:Not Half-Life 2? That's pretty surprising to me...though, I love both pretty much equally.
Half-Life 2's deathmatch addition wasn't released until December and wasn't a factor in our Game of the Month voting. For multiplayer out of the box, gamers were treated to a remake of the incredibly popular Counter-Strike. Good stuff, but ultimately not as sexy as Halo 2's online play.
