Honestly although it was one of the reasons I got the LE, I will just be getting the Bluray version for 17 bucks.
A 500mb hour and a half video is bound to have terrible IQ...
Yeah, I'm going Blu-Ray too.

I dunno if it's a DL copy, I think you'll have to stream it from Waypoint.

"Who's the best shot here?"
"Probably you."
I'm still not feeling the re-design of the Elites. Halo 3 still did it best in terms of design. Should've went with that but far more detail, obviously.
You're missing the fact that that is not his rank...
Master Chief is his rank. His name is John and he is Spartan 117.
But it wasn't in 2526. He was technically still a cadet, I think.
No. Not at the time this event happens. He is 15 years old in Forward Unto Dawn, and has not yet reached the Rank of Master Chief.
But yes, his name is John, and yes he is Spartan # 117.

True at the time period he shouldnt be but has 343i shown us what exact rank he is at this time? Junior Petty Officer ranks?
Chief's just 15 and therefore 35ish in Halo 4?
lol, no. Dude would be like 45 or some shit. Give or take.
The best parts of these for me has been the Cortana bits at the start. This episodes gave me goosebumps.
I like those parts as well, do you if they are from the game or were they created specifically for this mini series?
For the series, but you will see how they connect to the game, if you get the game.

Yeah, I'm going Blu-Ray too.
He's around 45 in Halo 4, but physically he'll be younger because he's spent a lot of time in cryo and travelling FTL.Chief's just 15 and therefore 35ish in Halo 4?
Shields don't come in until the Mark V armour, which is the one in the first Halo game. Doesn't enter service until 2551.Rewatching, notice Chief's shield doesn't go off when he takes that shot for the kid. I forget exactly, but shielding for the Spartan armor doesn't come until they get the idea from the Covenant right, so the suits aren't at that level yet?

I noticed that as well but figured it was just that they didn't want to add the effect in, but now that I think about it you are right. Good call.
I never thought to check, it better be!very pleased to hear it will be released on blu ray but will the blu ray be available in the uk? I just looked on amazon and it's not listed.

It has to do with reusing assets, at least in the case of the Elite. Take the form from the game, touch it up a little, and you have a CGI Elite.-snip-

Frank, did you survive the invasion?
