Yeah, that Halo 4 game/app where you go around scanning pictures of Doritos bags and you can unlock codes for downloadable stuff like an emblem and the LOCUS helmet skin. US-only though.

Oh dang! That is awesome! I totally forgot that there was a MS store in Austin. It will be pretty hard to crash. I pre-ordered my Kinect at a MS store and they had this ticket that you had to present before you went in that you were given when you pre-ordered it. Why Austin?

Definitely going into Multiplayer first. I'm picking this up at midnight and can only play for a couple hours before I gotta sleep so I get up for class tomorrow. A few hours ain't enough to get engulfed in the campaign.

Been in Ohio for the past two weeks but coming back home tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have Halo 4 delivered to the house tomorrow. Excited to play it.

On a side note, since some people have the game, how are subtitles handled? Like Halo: CEA with cut-scene subtitles as well as in-game subtitles (except the marine chatter) or like Bungie's Halo where it is only cut-scenes that are subtitled?

Are Spartan Ops subtitles handled the same way as well?

im worried that the hurricane is fucking up shipments to people in the NE US. Ordered Need for Speed before the 30th and it still says not yet shipped. Paid for 2 day shipping on LE and it says Thursday, but we'll see. I spoke with the customer service rep online and they gave me some boiler plate "weather in your area is affecting shipments" statement., if it wasnt LE i would just go to GS tonight and say screw it.

From the trailer demonstrating the game, that was all you had to do - not even the barcodes or something, just the bags on the rack from a distance.

Did you get confirmation of the cancellation or did you just submit your cancellation? Their policy says that even though you submit a cancellation they don't have to cancel your order.

God damn that visual and audio package. A game worthy of turning the home theatre right up. The guns actually have some real kick to them!! The sound is incredibly.

The visuals? Fucking amazing. I don't know whether they turfed the entire engine bungie used or what but it takes a giant steaming piss on previous Halo's. I have started playing all multiplatforms on PC because I am sick of jaggies and slow down but this game is so clean; and the lighting. 343 really went to town trying to get everything they could from the Xbox360.

As someone that has played all the Halo games (mostly only co-op or singleplayer) with a 'they are good but I don't get super excited about them' attitude, I have to say I am hugely impressed. The tone and atmosphere feel heavier and the work they have done visually to carry that over is amazing.

Master Chief does feel a little heavy though, haven't found a sensitivity I like to the guns yet, might just need some time to adjust, used to faster non-weighted like movement but otherwise, hugely impressed with what short time I have played.

So my frys order of the LE just changed over to say back ordered. That pretty much means that they won't be able to fulfill the order, right? I would try and find it somewhere else, but I think that everyone is pretty much sold out of the LE's. Help me HaloGAF, you're my only hope. Where do you think I'll be able to find a copy?

Okay, still no dispatch confirmation, I'm hoping it comes later tonight. I've had to do some serious magic to get tomorrow all class-free so I could play this game, I'm not gonna see that get ruined. :lol

Oh for crying out loud.

They have the *exact same* rendering engine. Chrome for iOS is effectively nothing more than a reskin of Safari.

All 343/Microsoft have done is not add Chrome to the list of user agents that are allowed to access the site. It would work perfectly well.

Word of advice. Do not get discouraged. It takes getting used to. But my god is it fun. You will be playing against dudes who have been playing for weeks, so do not get mad if you go 4-10. Just stick with it.

By last night I was going 15-9.

By the way to everyone. Campaign is the most mouth gaping experience since Gears of War 1 as far as graphics go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just played a bit of the campaign. Holy shit the graphics. Holy shit the sound. This is incredible.

343 was supposed to uphold Bungie's legacy, not make them look like shit. :(
