I did enjoy the last Halo game, I liked the Single Player open world campaign a lot.

MS is obviously right to lack confidence in 343, but 280 people on the payroll to not make videogames is still pretty nuts.

Even COD slaves would be better than 343.

For a COD-style game, absolutely. For mainline Halo there might be other options for MS that are better than either of those options.
