I've been having trouble actually getting the kill with DMR, probably due to my reliance on aim assist in prior games. At least I get lots of assists with it.DMR is just face-meltingly awesome in this game. Absolutely vicious at distance, (pretty handy mid-range, too), and every shot sounds like a fucking thunderbolt. Love it.
Slayer is still loads of fun, but I can't wait to try some objective gametypes. One's coming in week 3, right?

idk I guess I'm ok with that. Not really sure what I could have done differently to get a higher rank. Is there really only 200 "pro" ranked players? I've seen like a dozen already.
Also spectate is unbelievably awesome. It even works on my shitty 1.5Mb DSL connection. I'm guessing it must be using a similar system to theater where it's not actually streaming video, just the game data and then recreating it.

I think any game where 2 or more people quit should automatically end without penalty. It's completely unfair to the other two teammates who are now 2 on 4. You are basically FUCKED. You lose and take the huge negative KD or you quit and drop even further in rank. 100% if two people quit you are ranking down. Which is an awful way to set up a game.

Let them. Derankers are idiots and never really bothered me. I'd say if you are quitting more than 5 times in an hour you get banned for 5 hours or something. There has to be a happy medium. It's not fair to those who remain and get their ratios fucked.
What's to stop a party from helping their two friends who stay not derank?
Competitive cooldowns my friend. Can't search for another match for a certain period of time of you quit out.

I'm beginning to feel like CoD has made Halo devolve into a grenade spam fest. Seems like my controller is just constantly vibrating from grenades going off. Since when has Halo been a constant nade spam? People can't even shoot in a fair fight anymore, it's just chuck two grenades in the general direction of some enemies.

You could carry 8 grenades in the first two games, lol. Halo 3's were extremely weak unless they landed directly on you. Reach had grenades that were impossible to escape. So yea, lots of grenades have been a huge factor in basically every Halo.

The ranking system shouldnt be bound to the win or loss of the team. Its so annoying losing your ranking points because you got a 2+ K/D but you lose because your teammates go 1 kill 17 deaths or smth like that (had a round yesterday where my mate and i both got about 15:3 but the other two guys got about 2:16). Also you cant play with friends who are lower ranked, because once you lose you will lose a really high amount of points but just gain 3-5 from winning.
Atm the ranking is just rewarding you for playing with a group instead of playing alone in matchmaking.
