That is wise. But I got a refund, returned my Xbox One to Best Buy, and am now trying to decide if there's an attractive Wii U offer this Black Friday. After a questionable year with PS4, and now this being my first experience with XB1, I'm thinking maybe the people who tout "PC+Wii U" might be on to something.

This game is so fucking broken, been gone a week and trying to get a coop game of halo 2 going and it can't be done. Continuous trying to load the game and then it fails, no matter who tries to host. I'm am so disappointed in this game it's not even funny. It should have been delayed, I can't believe MS chose to release the game in this state as opposed to delaying it a few months.

December? The game won't be in a playable condition until February and even then there will be tons of bugs left over. The bugs will never be gone unless they remake the whole game which is never going to happen. People just have to accept that its a buggy collection and it always will be. Something makes me think that the executives didn't want a product that had the potential to be better to Halo 5, so they outsourced the game and half assed it. They don't give a shit. As soon as the complaints die down a bit and they are no longer in the spotlight, they will dump the game and move on.

They should. Don't most stores have a 10-day satisfaction guaranteed return policy? You should be able to show them articles talking about the current issues and then ask for a return/trade. Did you pay with credit? That usually also helps.

How did you pay? You should be refunded based on the payment method, if you paid with Xbox Live Currency then you would be refunded with your Microsoft Account. If you paid with a Credit Card/Bank Account, you should be refunded there.

*sigh* I managed to get a refund for my digital copy of MCC. It's why I bought the X1. I really hope 343i gets their shit together and patches the game to a consistent, functional state so I can justify the $350 I spent.

Actually I came insanely close to making the decision of going out next week to buy an X1 just for the MCC. But these issues are absolutely unacceptable and my faith in the series going forward is shattered.

I'm a big Insomniac fan and SSO looks great but I'm not willing to buy a whole console just for it. Yes, I was willing to buy one for the MCC but just because Halo was my most played series last gen by far. But with its issues, it just isn't worth it anymore.

On the bright side, now I'll be picking up games I didn't think I'd get like Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4, and GTA5 PS4.

For a lot of people, the MCC was the selling point and people wanted to relive the nostalgia, play with friends, etc. It's the reason I was going to get it. After reading through this thread though, it's pretty disheartening and I don't know if I should even bother.

It's harder for me to find a game now since the patch. It worked better when the patch was released, but since the following day it has been almost impossible to find a matchmade game.

Too much of a hassle to find games if you're searching with friends. Have to quit and restart the game after every match since someone always get booted afterwards.

As much I want to play Halo, stressing myself out to play isn't worth it.

If you love halo, you're going to be spending dozens if not hundreds of hours with the game. I don't see the stupidity in buying a console solely for one game when it's a massive one as this.

Not stupid at all if it's one of the few games you have time to play. Pretty disappointing, I bought an xbox one just for this and it's just a fancy paper weight at this point.

I spent $300 on the console after I sold the Assassin's Creed codes. I thought MCC would deliver on at LEAST $300 worth of entertainment and joy, so far, it has delivered $0 because I got a refund on it.

I've probably logged close to IDK, 9,000 hours? 10,000 hours lifetime? Across H1, H2 and H3.

I didn't think they would fuck it up like this.

I got a refund today and they just did it no questions. I'm from the UK though where I believe we have better consumer rights with this stuff. He did try and say it was a "one time" courtesy refund though. Err no, if Microsoft sell me 10 broken games I will have a refund on every single one of them thank you very much. Cheeky bastards.

I think this game might be seeing a lot of refunds and trade ins. Did a search for used copies on Gamestop's site and there's already five locations near me with copies.

Might just trade my copy in to Best Buy for Dragon Age. I'm not happy with it, and a total fix doesn't sound likely.

Ugh, I just checked my transactions. I added funds, with my card, to get MCC apparently. I didn't even know there was a way to do it the other way. This shit is so dumb. I argued with the guy for like 20 minutes. Apparently it's outside of Microsoft's capabilities to provide refunds on purchases of digital funds. So stupid.
