Pretty clearly talking about this gigantic Covenant vehicle shown at the end teaser of the E3 campaign demo.
I explained Warzone on here the other day to someone who was a bit lost, and I just wanted to make a correction to something I said.
In the explanation, I said that the secondary weapon could be a magnum or a Plasma Pistol, which is incorrect. In the E3 build of Warzone, players can only choose from either a magnum or an SMG.

Seems clearly of Covenant aesthetics. Forerunner are a grey area. But isn't that a Guardian though? On the other hand, if that's a massive new Covenant vehicle, fuck yeah! Given it a bit of a closer look, I thought it was a Guardian at first, but the vehicle's design definitely seems mor reminiscent of the Covenant.

Weaponized Harvester? Pretty sure Scarabs were meant to be "diggers", too, before the Covenant retrofitted them to be assault platforms.
I hope they don't have the PP being a starting weapon again. I am also hoping in Warzone the vehicles get some goodies to balance things out a bit (if "balance" in Warzone is possible lol)

Probably a silly question. But have 343i commented on theatre at all? I suppose it's in the Arena because of the spectator mode. But what about campaign and warzone?
How do the loadouts work in Warzone? I wasn't totally clear after watching the videos.
Can you always spawn with a BR? Or is that just later in the match? The pistol looks pretty great, at least.
Mix said:The REQ Cards are a tiered based system that comprises of:
Energy
EXP/ REQ level
Cards
In Warzone, when you drop in, you spawn with an AR and magnum. This is default across the mode, until you play the game. Killing spartans, bosses, and other AI enemies, as well as completing objectives like capturing a base, will raise your REQ level.
As you achieve REQ levels 1-9, tiered unlocks will become available based on what cards you have on you. You earn these cards by playing all multiplayer modes; Arena, Warzone, BTB, etc. There are some cards that give you better versions of weapons, and some that give you skins for weapons and armor sets, and even some for armor sets themselves.
Back to Warzone. Once you achieve certain levels of REQ in Warzone, you gain the ability to switch out your primary and secondary weapons. In the E3 build, the primary weapons could be ARs, BRs, or DMRs (plural because there are other versions that boost stats like accuracy, damage, etc.) and the secondaries are currently Magnum and Plasma Pistol. When you switch out for a different "default" Primary/secondary, it will stay static (BR/PP or DMR/Magnum, things like that.)
But, that's not all. You can REQUISITION (get it?) for better starting weapon either from spawn, or via REQ station that are placed throughout Warzone maps post spawn. Here, you can choose more powerful weapons, things like: Carbines, Storm Rifles, Rocket Launchers, Sniper Rifles, and, in later REQ levels, Vehicles too.
The catch to choosing all of these amazing power weapons and vehicles off of spawn? It requires REQ energy, which in game are the little green polygons under the REQ level bar on the bottom of the player HUD. Certain power weapons and vehicles require certain levels of Energy.
To explain this best, say you've achieved level 7 in Warzone REQ level. you want to spawn in with a Sniper rifle, which costs 6 Energy. You are left with 1. the other six will replenish as you play, and ARE NOT given bonuses for kills. However, if you spawn in with a level 6 item and you still have 1 left over, the other six plus one will all replenish after reaching level 8.
Any cards you unlock, you keep. Obviously there will be ones that are single use, but as far as what I can tell, it seems to be that you keep it even after you use it in the match, but you only get to use it that once during any one game.
I hope none of that was too confusing. I tried to word it as basically as I could.
Has 343i said anything about LAN support? It has to be in considering they are pushing esports with spectator mode. Right?

Your post isn't quite right regarding the replenishing of energy when you level up by the way.And like I said, the only amendment is that the plasma psitol is considered a power weapon.
Hopefully atleast big HCS tournaments will have LAN servers then.Since they're on Dedi's, LAN support is only for people that 343 will work with exclusively, it is not shipping with the game/available to the general public. (All this is per Josh Holmes in the Beyond interview)

Both Colter and Amadi are credited as being the voice of Locke on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3467114/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Weird.

I'm pretty sure Josh Holmes said somewhere that you don't replenish all you energy when you level up. I think it's only 1 polygon thing.
LAN Support is a thing for the XboxOne OS Team, not 343s job.

That was tuning specific for E3 to allow participants to use weapons and vehicles more frequently.
Going off of gameplay

Gotcha, thank you for the clarification! I think I'll like it even more then if you can't just get a full boost every time.

Is warzone what you've been working on? Or are you still hush hush about your involvement with H5?
I worked on one of the campaign missions and moved over to Warzone when I finished that. It's been a real pleasure working on Warzone as the mode had come together. Look forward to more of you getting a chance to play it at launch. But there's still plenty of work and tuning to do before then. 😊
Colter is face, Amadi is voice. We deferred to his Luke Cage schedule because he's a cool guy and it's a huge break. Ike is amazing and was one of our faves during first auditions and so far reaction to his voice has been fantastic .
For those who may miss it in the other thread
That's awesome man. I'm gonna ask you this since you've already been asked a thousand times, but what is the possibility of the sparkast returning? Is it even possible with you because of you working on a different team now than you did back then?

Anything you can tell us about your plans for future tuning in the mode?
Needs more creep patrols imo, but I imagine getting sniped by a carbine elite while you're fighting another player WOULD be pretty annoying.
It looks pretty great so far, I can see myself playing it a lot.
The Warzone team is ecstatic over the response coming out of E3. The vidoc and other videos/interviews did a great job communicating more detail about the mode. As for future tuning changes in the march to ship, I've learned it's usually best to avoid commenting on work in progress as things often change rapidly in development.
I read how enemy AI was made in a way they didn't want to impact player vs player engagement too much, where some poor soul would get killed by an elite while he's in a firefight with another player. But the vehicles are more dangerous all over map threats.
But was there any discussion about how cool/tense it would be to have say two enemy AI drop down who 'hunt' human players down. Imagine how much of a wrench it could throw in a teams plans who are trying to control bases if so and so enemy was now on the field and they'd either have to run and hide or give up what they're doing to take him out at once.
I'm reminded of playing Perfect Dark bots and at Dark Agent difficulty, using settings like 'get revenge against the last player who killed you' it was always crazy how they'd literally chase after you when they respawned and you knew you had a target on your back. Sorry if I'm not necessarily explaining what I'm asking properly.
Can Warzone handly bigger battles? And by that I mean as for example dropping a Guardian vs Covy Scarab vs Vultures. The Warzone team is ecstatic over the response coming out of E3. I think I understand what you're saying. All I can say to that is, although we have a core design philosophy around the AI encounters in Warzone, we also have a wide variety of them and not all are created equal.
