Just finished watching some of Halo4Follower's videos... the kid is free to say whatever he wants in their vids but holy shit at some people for actually believing him.

I am prepared to do a weeklong banbet that says you will eat your words. Of course, SexyLadyGaf would miss me, and you would need to cooperate objectively and honestly, but I am still quite confident in what I know, and your veracity as a gentleman. And as you noted, albeit derisively, it hasn't started yet.

I do believe that Halo 4's campaign will be great. In their own ways, all of the Halo campaigns have been. But when it comes to ads, I'll continue to gently beat this drum as long as I have drums to beat: I really hope we get more of this, and less of this. The live action stuff is uniformly well done - Halo 3's in particular - but it is all so totally disconnected from the actual game. They are like movie trailers that show nothing from the movie. Games are awesome. I would like to see the game used to sell the game, not movies made to sell games.

And that Halo 2 spot was - is - so amazing, in part because it's the game.

Yep, he's just trowing everything out there, even though he knows it's fake. There was one video where he pointed out some debris from the FUD could be a possible new enemy! :lol

I disagree... to a degree.

Both the Live action stuff and the CGI stuff is some of the most stunning advertisement iv ever seen. As a gamer sure id love more in game stuff from the trailers and tv spots but when alot of people see this stuff they zone out, Give them live action or to a lesser extent High Quality CGI and its much more engaging for them.

The Believe Campaign and Live Action ODST stuff is the most engaging halo advertisements iv seen, Its personal preference but still

Finally something I can disagree with Ram on... :(

And I bet a two week ban that there will be something horrible from Reach (Sprint, bloom, jetpack, etc) on display on the Halo 4 reveal media that will ruin the whole thing.

The vast majority of these fakes show that a lot of people don't understand UI design. Why Matchmaking and Theater at the top level? That makes no sense, Theater isn't THAT big a feature that it needs billing at the top level. Reach's makes sense, Campaign gets top billing (since the majority of the Halo playerbase is playing just that) then you drill down to the rest of the features. Halo 3 was very much the same, campaign got top billing then everything else was a secondary option.

More people need to get their menu flow learnin' on

People do this because on test builds, including public betas, the Halos have just had 'Matchmaking' and 'Theater' as the two options on the menu. Reach did.

Halo 2 ads>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Not only was the ad great regardless, but I far prefer ads that feature in-game footage and voice dialogue as opposed CGI or live action.

I was pretty disappointed in the Kat Live Action Reach ads, especially when they aired that one near launch and aired the superior "Battle Begins" ads before that.

For maximum tastiness never rush a slow cooker.

Oddly enough, this Chopin piece was playing while I was changing clothes at the gym this morning. Felt like a goddamn hero.

Funny thing about slow cookers though, if you leave it going too long your dinner ends up dried out.
