I went 25-10 in my first game! BR was much more accurate at longer ranges IMO. I thought Over also thought the Carbine was no good at longer ranges.

Well said. I have absolutely no qualms with waiting a bit longer if it means that a solo player will only ever be matched with other solo players. Going in as a group is always best, but not always feasible.
This would be ideal but I wonder how long the search times would actually be if they only matched groups of X # of people with the same sized group. This would also depend on how strict the skill-based matching is (whether visible or not).
I think maybe it would have to be a bit more lenient like if you have a team of 8 searching in BTB it would only match them with a team that had a group of 4-5 people in it and the rest filled in with randoms and/or teams of 2 or 3.
Either way, all randoms against a team of 8 is ridiculous and should never occur (although it regularly happens in Reach). This just leads to rage quits and dashboarding and a generally bad or boring time for everyone.

I can tell you right now as long as Halo continues to sell millions of copies, there will always be more games. Even if things end pretty definitely, prequels will come out for years to come.
Anyone remember when GAF stopped censoring curse words a few years ago? People went nuts, posting curses flagrantly and carelessly. And it was hilarious. This is like that, but fucked up and not funny. Seeing EviLore instigate is really disheartening. But, while I strongly disagree with his analysis, it's his website, and I'm powerless to challenge him. So, I guess I'll just stay out of the off topic forum, and bite my tongue even more than I already do. EviLore is making it pretty clear that when it comes to bigoted slurs, the scales are tilted in favor of the people using the slurs. I appreciate his call for civility, but that's not what this new policy - nor his behavior - actually encourages. It once again places an unfair burden on people who are offended, hurt, or even attacked. It's okay to make a rape joke that is triggering / hurtful / maddening, but it's not okay to be "uncivil" when calling someone out on making rape jokes. What the fuck. Context matters, yes, but now people can get away with "lol jk don't be so sensy" even more than they already do. There's already a palpable energy of arrogance and hostility spreading through the forum. I'll be sticking exclusively to the Halo threads even more now. At least I know and like the people I consider to be assholes in this thread.

I suppose is just me hoping because there is so much fiction I would love to see surface in a game. O well we will see!
