Haven's a solid map, and the best that Halo 4 offers imo, but overall I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I did before.
Maybe it's because it was popular in customs or something, but I don't understand how in the world Sandtrap and Blood Gulch can be considered all time greats.
Also, I'd praise Last Resort/Zanzibar, but you guys already know of my deep love of asymmetrical maps (with the exception of much of Halo 4's offerings). High Ground is fantastic as well.

Epitaph was a very decent and forgettable map, nothing special about it, but it didn't suck.
It's odd. Sandtrap seems to be getting 2x the praise now than it did when everyone was playing it. There are much better BTB maps that deserve a remake.

Valhalla would be a lot better if it was actually symmetrical and had some extra cover as wide open fields don't mesh well with the DMR.

I'd probably take Epitaph over Abandon too. That middle structure just ruins the map.
I like them all. I have a lot of fun every time I've played those maps.

Just wait, you guys will come around on Abandon for sure. So far from shit tier. On the grand scale of All Time best Halo maps, I'm not saying it's up there, but it's not the shitty map some of you think it is.

I agree with both of you. Epitaph wasn't that bad without radar and no shield doors. Just sucks that it was never given that chance in MM.. but I guess that's the story of MM-only systems.
Playing serious, top tier 2v2 CTF Hogs that lasted several hours long per match was PHENOMENAL! That game was in a league and time period of its own lol

Did you play 4v4 or up on it? or are you just basing this off of what you seen of the map?
Character naming on LAN was the best. So easy to change names between games to troll the kids down the hall. Now you have to create an entire new Xbox profile - lost the fun.
And then you choose "default" and the game calls you "Noodle" and you realize that the built-in names have far more class than anything you could come up with.
I'm basing it off of playing it on bunch on Halo PC.

Make sure you update the firmware when you get them, you'll have a few issues otherwise.

Bought a pair of Astros a few years ago. The worst customer service I've ever dealt with and they're already overpriced (especially the shipping). Turtle Beach all the way.
If they didn't support MLG, I don't think they'll be half as popular as they are now.
The Astros are better than Turtle Beach, I'll give them that, but the price doesn't match the quality compared to how Turtle Beach prices them. Seems like Astro really is milking that "only the pros use this" deal when they pretty much force them with sponsors (which is a good thing for the event, but still). Haven't use a Tritton, may try it out when my PX21's die out.

Lucky for me I know someone that works for them. And I prefer the Trittons to Turtle Beach and most people I know prefer the Astros over Trittons.
That's all to say the transitive property tells me I would like Astros more than the Turtle Beaches.

Played my second game on Rail, and was again matched up with an insanely superior team who destroyed us. Hard to form an opinion of it when I keep getting matched up incorrectly.
Also ran up against Pok3r Fac3d while in Doubles. That was randomly cool.

Someone here might be moderately interested, I've started working on a Forerunner-inspired theme for my phone...
Still working on the exact look that will translate well to small sizes. Stealing some of the assets from Mid7night's awesome Bungie-flavored theme.
I feel obligated to say something. Promethean architecture works alright when transferred to enemy targets, but needs some definite tweaking to work well for UIs. I'd say raise the contrast a bunch and make the background darker on the icons so it's not a gray. For example:
Granted this would look nothing like the finished product, but I'd be more than willing to help design all the UI elements/sounds/etc if you programmed them or whatever.

Oh man my analogue stick is busted, it doesn't drift or slowturn, its just constantly unable to hit max speed. I move slow as hell in the game, I ran side by side with someone before to compare and it felt like trying to race against Usain Bolt. Its so subtle I sometimes forget it happens, actually I forgot it happens for ages since I havent been playing Halo much - but it sucks.
