Anyone got any advice on what i should do im confused.

I can order the tickets as soon as i get money and flights seem to be around £400-£500 Per person which im fine with.

However transport from airport to hotel and actual hotel prices are the only issues, i dont want to go and blindly book flights and end up losing money because i cant pay for the hotel in the end.

Whats everyone else doing about the issue.

If you're hoteling downtown, there's the train that goes directly from the airport to down for around 3 bucks. Might have been 2.50? Either way much cheaper than a cab

We have to wait around a week until the PAX rooms go on sale, according to the site, so nobody knows prices on those yet

(FWIW, I think pretending to get beta PMs is kind of annoying. Sure, trolling Waypoint lurkers is fun, but then Frank/David/Jessica have to go through the hassle of once again saying that there are no secret beta codes being given out.)

Every time I see a PAX newbie I tell them that any line longer than an hour isn't worth it. I had more fun playing Munchkin and Rock Band 2 at PAX East than any unreleased games. The real highlights were the dinnertime Halo discussions.

Cheers, im going to wait till payday and see what happens. Ill grab the tickets asap i think and we will see what happens from then hopefully hotels are nicely priced i wouldnt mind staying downtown is it worth staying a few more days to visit anything nice in Seattle or not?

The Airport hotels are pretty good too. I paid $100 for a room with air conditioner, free WiFi(which is pretty important for us EU-guys) and every hotel has a shuttle transport to the Airport for free. So you can use that option, take the Light Rail(which is in the Airport) and exit at the last station. Then you have to go two blocks and you are at the Convention center.

I would say yes. 2010 was my first PAX and we got there Thursday afternoon and left Sunday, that seemed rather quick.

This year we are getting in Wednesday morning and leaving the following Tuesday. Gives us two whole days outside of PAX.

Our hotel from last year changed into a new hotel, more expensive too. I'll be using the PAX hotel finder this time.

I'm going to try to get the Sheraton, probably finally rent a room under my name instead of subletting off someone else. I went to the Olive 8 last year and while it wasn't bad (it was only 2 blocks from the Convention Center), the Sheraton is easier to meet up with other people at since that seems to be where everyone I know rooms up at.

Hey guys, I need some advice. I picked up my 360 with Halo Reach when it came out and I don't own any other Halo games on the system. Lately I've been in the mood for some good old fashioned Team Slayer but Reach isn't really doing it for me, primarily because of how bad the maps are (the only ones I really enjoy are the Halo 2 forge maps).

Anyway, my question is this --- should I pick up Halo 3 or Halo: CE Anniversary to get my fix? The main thing I'm interested in is some good maps and I don't have the fondest memories of the ones in Halo 3 but like I said, I never owned the game myself.

I'd say pick up ODST, you get a pretty awesome Halo campaign with like... 24? multiplayer maps, most of them fantastic, in my opinion.

If you want to play Halo 3 multiplayer, buy ODST. It has all the DLC maps for Halo 3 and a pretty awesome campaign+firefight.

For which game you should buy, it really depends on what you want. Halo 3 has the better maps IMO, but a low population and a bad netcode when you compare it to Reach.

Anniversary only has 6 multiplayer maps, but they're pretty good. The maps have their own playlist so it's easy to actually play the maps and it has classic settings so you get a 3-shot pistol.

Thanks guys. Wow, I totally forgot ODST added maps to Halo 3. All I could remember was that it was the same base multiplayer.
