I was just in a near by mall in Connecticut and it turns they're opening a Microsoft store. Thinking about getting Halo 4 there instead of the usual Gamestop. Should be a cool place.

I know, but Smashed is easily the worst map I've ever played in probably any shooter. The only Reach Forge variant that even approaches it for me is Enclosed.

Speaking of videowall, have you heard of the e-lite mod for your pioneer 5020fd? You can turn your tv into an elite ( all the calibration option) just by changing the I/O board. I ordered the part for mine.

Yeah it's a shame Heretic dropped so late in Halo 3's life. I feel like it didn't get the time it deserved.

It gave us a good year and for the competitive side 2-3 new gametypes out of 11 which was a huge boost., same that Beaver Creek did. Pumps life into a game at the right time. The thing I do like about those 2 remakes though is they didn't mess them up. Remakes can easily have issues like Blackout.

The Halo CEA launch was pretty cool. They had portable 360 setups on the tables, and let people play. Held a tournament for some small prizes, and the first like..20 people there got a UNSC patch(I think), a grunt plushy, and some other stuff. Plus the giant wall of monitors/TVs showing Halo stuff was pretty great. They had a radio station setup there live as well. Overall pretty fun.

The one by me doesn't have anything like this. No clothing or anything at all, actually. It's basically an Apple/Sony store clone. So they have Windows PCs, overpriced everything audio/video related. Software, Xbox stuff, and games. The only thing that they have there that I haven't seen anywhere else are stations to create 360 skins. Which are essentially large stickers to slap onto the newer(and older..I think) 360's. Neat idea but I can't imagine they get a lot of people in there that actually do that.

That MLG v6 I believe it was, was amazing!

Middy Ball, TS and CTF
Onslaught CTF
Amp TS
Construct TS and King
Narrows CTF and Slayer
Pit CTF and Pit Slayer

It was just superb map and gametype mixture.

Well shit that CEA launch just sold me. I hope it opens in a decent time so I can pre order there.

As someone not good enough to consistently play well in MLG, I didn't get to experience it like that. Only time I ever got to play it was in customs(and only like 4 of the dudes I played with were over 40) and Team Mythic which was always full of scrubs and quitters.

I said "portable 360 setups". They were basically large laptop cases, with TV's built into the "lid" portion, and the 360 on the bottom area with space on the side for a controller. They could be unplugged, zipped up, and carried away.

I wonder if we will get a trailer before e3. I still find it bizarre that we don't really have a trailer for the story of halo 4 yet.

I'm excited, at first I was a little hesitant for all the changes since I'm essentially a Halo Purist.

But while thinking during an 11-8:15 boring as hell shift today, all the new possibilities are starting to get really exciting. Just really want to see it in action (without a barn).
