I'm just saying why would MS waste their money on doing it if it doesn't have a real impact on keeping the game around. Gears 3 is a good game with dedicated servers and is barley in the Top 10 9 months out.

That's true. But I think the main reason why Gears 3 isn't that popular these days is because the gameplay is more difficult than other shooters like CoD. Dedis won't keep the casual fans around if they don't like the gameplay.

Halo however has always been popular with the casual crowd and although it may not have any effect on them staying, I think most core players would like to have dedis.

Im not talking about dedicated servers here because I don't want them/ care for them, they just give more people an advantage over me in a match, that said, im really shocked Gears 3 population has dipped so low. I know the game has its fair share of problems like DLC paywalls and the sawn-off shotgun, but its a damn good game, im really tempted to pick it up.


I wonder why the population dipped so much, and im also wondering how Gears judgement will affect Halo 4. It comes out like 3 months after Halo 4, which is just long enough afterwards to steal away the population. CoD, Gears and Halo AND Medal of Honour are going to be competing for population, and thats only some of the shooters! Assassins Creed no doubt will draw a lot of people in (for a short while at least), going to be interesting seeing what happens.

Cryptum is the best Halo book imo. Primordium is a very lengthy boring journey but the end is worth it. So do it. Reading is always good.

In my experience, the direct link will take you to a quicktime file to stream. Maybe you can load it before driving?
