Huh, wut?
Yes. I play Halos SP first, MP second basis. You probably could drop the MP from Halos and i'd keep buying them.
"Fuck MP" as in, give me pure single player focused Halo (with co-op).
Huh, wut?
and he got work on Guitar Hero. Pays to be a leaker.Well I mean, look at Tom Morello. He went on to be a legendary guitarist.
I just don't see why you're practically arguing against us having the option to turn it off.I never said it was necessary. Cut out that snarky crap. I said it wasn't quite unnecessary. The gong plays a very important part of that feedback. 'Checkpoint completed' is much the same.
Yes, and I've never liked that UI.Has anyone complaining about the middle of the screen text ever played a call of duty game post WaW?
Like, ever?
Because that shit is ALL OVER and I never notice it.
Well I mean, look at Tom Morello. He went on to be a legendary guitarist.

I would love more audio options/notification options in console games. Just puttin' that out there.
But the text appears above where you landed your precious headshot and dissipates rather quickly.
It's all too easy to point to a single screen and say what impact this will have on your vision but the reality is, it won't. Look at the MLG footage and find me a single case where the text caused the player to miss out on something happening where he was looking.
I'm not saying it will happen often. I'm just saying that if it happens to me even once it will be one time too often. And for what? For people who are too blind to look at the corner of the screen? Just give us a toggle (or let us move around HUD elements) and everyone is happy. It's that easy. But the text appears above where you landed your precious headshot and dissipates rather quickly.

Immortalized.
I'm not sure why you're allowed to speak in absolutes but when other people do it you jump on them. Regardless, watching footage of MLG players obviously proves nothing. The only people who know if the text distracted them are the people playing, not the people watching.

They said they don't notice it. I don't think I will either. Still, it'd be nice to be able to turn it off. Having the +10 numbers pop up I can understand. Let's you know what your kill was worth. But the DOUBLE KILL and stuff is unnecessary. We have medals for that.
We have medals for that.

not sure if serious
The "you won't notice it" argument is terrible.
About the medals. I really hope they look better right now, cause they looked bad in the E3 build. They all looked so much alike and the blue color they had for the multi kill medals looked pretty bad.

You could make the same argument about the announcer too. It is redundant to have a medal and then an announcement of that medal. But the DOUBLE KILL and stuff is unnecessary. We have medals for that.
Whatever the case is, I'm not a fan of the new medal color scheme. I found them hard to make out.I think they are supposed to be like that because its VR simulation. Those medals look pretty VR-ish to me.
Ellis said something about them being changed. I think i liked the reach medal's the best. Really dislike the Halo 4 ones we seen.
That blue is getting a bit Too much now
Yep, though I wonder how much they'll be changed from the E3 build. I mean, designers have put work into those medals and I can't imagine them radically changing them.Ellis said something about them being changed. I think i liked the reach medal's the best. Really dislike the Halo 4 ones we seen.

The medals seem kind of out of place with the rest of the theme.
I think I'm going to try bumping up my sensitivity today.
Yeah i get that vibe as well, But i just don't feel the look of them, I loved the Gritty make over reach emblems got.
I think a better route would of been to make them look military in nature then shift the hue to blue so they look like some kind of UNSC scoring system. Currently its just a collection of symbols which i understand is poor criticism but still.
I liked how Gears 3 did medals with the Ribbon system (kind of like battlefield)
That was my initial reaction but I don't know if its just because they are so different to what I'm used to.
I apologise the snarky "hmmm" comment.I am not arguing that at all.
I am arguing how big a distraction it will end up being.
It's because they're really cheery and happy in what's to be a serious game.
I could picture that its what the Spartans see post game after their training simulation. They should be all computery. I think that fits pretty well in the theme of whats going on in the Halo universe. Why am I talking about the Halo universe?
I think its a valid criticism if you just dont like the look but graphically it fits, least imo.
In the campaign something else might fit better...but I dunno if they even use medals in campaign anymore.
Bro Powers Activate.I want A ZooJoo on My team.
Team Bigger on the Inside.
Another one bites the dust.Well I am blocking the info out and it's running on a hacked Xbox anyways so no one would know if they saw.
Hmmm

They can be computery and still be more dark. Just because it's a computer doesn't negate the color palette expressed visually.
Yup, Iv been fine with all the UNSC displays throughout every Halo but these really seem out of place.
Problem with the current medals is that a lot of them look like each other, especially color-wise. You want to be able to see what medal you got in a quick glance and having medals be very different from each other visually helps a lot in that.
I actually like them. They look clean and simple.

EDIT: I hate Lion's autocorrect, it never makes logical choices...

And you're playing campaign in which you fight braindead bots at the pace of a snail. In multiplayer having a clear view of what is in front of you is a lot more important than in other modes. Comparing MP and campaign in this regard is incredibly dumb.
Halo anyone? jelyk
In my opinion they look too... off. They all have the same colors, and don't really look like they should match the action that they're supposed to.
