Actually you are using that meme wrong.....
I know lol. Do you really want me to go back and somehow shoehorn half of those punchlines into "x, x EVERYWHERE" jokes?

Grenades have never been caught in textures, geometry on the other hand...
Bungie was on the right track when they started putting invisible walls over stairs, now we just need that on other things. But then again maybe when throwing a grenade at a wall that isn't flat you shouldn't expect it to bounce like it's flat. 343, give us more flat walls.
CAN SIMULATE ANYTHINGLets hope they don't gp overboard with geometry then. Adrift looks especially busy.
Here's hoping they get creative. That is to say that non-canon abstract maps for example would be nice.More utopia in Infinity War Games environments.
lol - I didn't see the bank robber bit until I quoted this - I was gonna tell you the balaclava made it for you. This has been the most frustrating pep I have done.
and no, I'm not a bank robber, there is sharp fiberglass that I haven't sanded down yet.
So I think I finally figured out why the Spartan IVs designs haven't quite clicked for me... Their waists just seem disproportionately small:

It just makes them look kinda awkward and not as organic as the Spartan IIIs in Reach.[/QUOTE]This was what got me with the armour in the game in general, even on Chief. Everything's top heavy, legs are sufficiently covered, but you get to that lower torso/crotch region and there's almost nothing. Makes them look like Evas. Or I guess more appropriately, like they're wearing a Varia Suit.

Something like Mirror's Edge's DLC maps? Just geometric shapes, no "real environment"?

Futuristic strip clubs, please. I'll finally be able to afford seeing what the champagne room is all about, and wearing a sealed suit of combat armor is the perfect way to do it.Here's hoping they get creative. That is to say that non-canon abstract maps for example would be nice.

Forge wishes it could look as nice as ME's blocks. We have that. It's called Forge.

it would have been a great 6v6 mapClub Errera was so pretty and unused.
Way too small for that, unless you used the outer pad and added side corridors.it would have been a great 6v6 map
that's what i meant.Way too small for that, unless you used the outer pad and added side corridors.
My mind is still boggled at why it wasn't used as a Firefight map in Reach.Club Errera was so pretty and unused.

Elzar, wasn't it based on the dare mission firefight map from ODST. or am i thinking of something else.An absolute shame, seeming as it's a proven firefight map.
The only one I ever liked was courtyard, when I still played FF.

Devs these days seem to think more polygons on screen instantly means better graphics, it's a shame really. You can do a lot with a map that has flat walls and such with out it being visually boring.Lets hope they don't gp overboard with geometry then. Adrift looks especially busy.

i was right
The layout of the club is identical to the layout of the Halo 3: ODST Firefight map, Crater.
Yeah. The playspace choices for FF were odd. Overlook, ugh.
The Covenant hangar was okay, which just just proves your point, Club Errera would be great for FF (assuming you deal with how to spawn in the covies, outside of dropships the grenade-permeable shield doors in the Hangar are pretty easy to abuse).
So I played Halo 4 at Fanexpo on Saturday with some friends of mine. It was fun to say the least. The game felt a bit inconsistent with it's frame rate and there was a LOT of input lag. That could have been partly due to the TV and the fact that the game is based on a really old build. The strafe speed still felt really slow compared to Halo 2/3. I hated that indoor UNSC-looking map. AR worked well on that map. Me and my friends went again in line and tried the outdoor snow map. I had a blast playing that map. The long sight lines allowed me to dominate people with the BR and sniper. The forerunner shotgun is extremely satisfying to use even though it wasn't the best choice to choose for the map. I'm liking the new vehicle physics this time compared to reach which was a tad to over-the-top.
What ArchedThunder said. : )
Very odd indeed, I wonder how the design worked for ODST? The spaces in ODST felt like they were built for firefight and then put into campaign.
ODST felt more like Firefight with a sprinkling of campaign, which is what I'm hoping 343 is using as a template for SpOps.Very odd indeed, I wonder how the design worked for ODST? The spaces in ODST felt like they were built for firefight and then put into campaign.
The only issue I have with the map is the really brown factory setting. The only thing that tips you off that you're in the future is the fact that aliens are constantly trying to kill you.Maybe thats why Unearthed is pretty good, it's the only Reach Firefight map built for Firefight. To bad it came a bit to late and had problems of its own.

While you're correct that Club Errera was based on Crater, you're wrong that Dare didn't have a mission - it was Data Hive (and the firefight map Chasm Ten was pulled from it).Dare didn't have a mission, it's the final area of Buck's first mission and is the firefight map Crater.

Errera was indoors. Probably why it didn't get made into an FF map. Apparently phantoms are too important and just spawning enemies is unnacceptable.
Heh - you're the first person I've ever heard try to argue that that's not the 'Dare Mission'. Yeah, sure, you don't PLAY as Dare - but it's still the Dare mission. You played as the Rookie during Data Hive...
Unearthed: "Finally, a Firefight map for vehicle lovers! Just what you've all been waiting for!"
Load up map, the only vehicle is the shitty rocket hog. GG guys. Enjoy knocking around the AI like pinballs without ever killing them.

Installation 04.This - why is there only rocket hogs and ghosts playable in Firefight? Put some other vehicles on the maps already.

Awwwwwwwww snapWe have that. It's called Forge.
What structure? I've only ever seen this, which are remnants of a meteor. And the gigantic structure getting unearthed in the background.
It's extremely shitty that there is only one human vehicle on the map and you have to wait for anything else on something that's hailed as a "vehicle map". Seriously, not even a couple of Mongeese so we could create our own version of RocketRace?I don't mind it, I really like how the map looks. My main problem with the map is that the only vehicle that spawns is the Rocket Hog and what ever covie vehicle might drop every 8 years. The Rocket Hog should have been a regular ol' machine gun Hog.
The chaingun Hog is on Installation 04.
Also, the wraiths on some levels (Overlook) can be hijacked.

Not trying to be a dick, but chain guns are single barreled. Common mistake.
Remnants of a meteor? Never heard much about the backstory. I guess I'm so used to Generic Spikey Alien Stuff that I assumed it was some structure.

Why is PAX so god damn soon.
I cannot wait, three more days of work until my weekend starts.
I am officially confused by the way, and unsure of what meet-ups are/are not happening. Did any plans get make 100% for sure yet or what?
