Arnie said:Is it a replacement for the Battle Rifle, or does that remain in the game? I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the DMR in the Beta.
Also Dax, how you can determine the DMR is 100X better than the battle rifle is beyond me. The Battle Rifle is what makes Halo multiplayer fun for me, so any tinkering with it's abilities are going to get my ears perked, let alone if they scrap it. It seems sometimes you like to shit on the BR just to go against the flow.
MagniHarvald said:Oh and Shishka, does this mean H3 Seven won't have any DRM?
More accurately, it says the Covenant will occasionally speak their native languages. I'm hoping that means they speak English when needed during cinematics, but their native languages during combat.MagniHarvald said:
I though this was MP info, like how the H3 reveal introduced us to High Ground, Snowbound, and Valhalla, six months before the beta. Only four months until the beta this time, when will we be getting MP info?

Why would the evil frakking aliens need to be understood in any cinematics?GhaleonEB said:More accurately, it says the Covenant will occasionally speak their native languages. I'm hoping that means they speak English when needed during cinematics, but their native languages during combat.
This. Graphics are good, but nothing WOW worthy to me yet.scoobs said:looks good, i think you guys might be exaggerating a bit though lol.
If like Dax said, the quote that Ghaleon posted was merely to help describe the DMR, meaning the DMR replaced the BR then I would guess they would be placed frequently like BRs.Captain Blood said:I am curious if the lightsaber will be treated like a power weapon of sorts or if it will multiple placed around the maps like BRs.

I couldn't read shit, its soo shiny.FFChris said:Wow I completely missed the chunk of text about the graphics upgrades. :lol
New weather effects. Oh yes! Cannot. Wait. Mo-cap animation as well!

And, you know, splitscreen multiplayer. Other games should just be flat out banned from comparisons for raping user friendliness.FFChris said:In comparison to games like Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2, nothing in Halo: Reach will be 'WOW' worthy. However, you'll be playing a game with huge open battlefields, vehicles, and masses of enemies with excellent A.I (if it's anything like the previous games). That's where the wow factor comes from.
Apparently there is special animations from the picture they provided.Gui_PT said:Se when you say Assassination. You mean walking up to an elite and just meleeing him on the back; or will it be an Assassin's Creed-ish kind of animated attack?
Make me beloove!

Dammit, I am incredibly unsatisfied with this reveal. Not because of what Bungie showed, which was great, but the ammount of content that was revealed was incredibly small.

Does it have anti-aliasing, or is it actually going to be at least 1280x720p? Because they can keep farting on about lovely lighting or lovely models and all, but the fucking jaggies were the issue in Halo 3 and not much else!

I believe I found some proof of a new aiming mechanic, Iron Sights, or the Halo equivalent.
Major Williams said:The two games you mentioned are PS3 games - apples to apples would be GoW2, Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, CoD:MW2.

I know. Seriously. What was revealed?Son of Godzilla said:"Halo is coming this fall and it shall be more Halo than the Haloiest Halo to ever have Halo'd."
Seriously, the biggest news from this is what, being able to drive a Chevy?
I don't remember the Halo 3 reveals being anywhere near this level of cocktease.
just google the key words, the scans are pretty much all over the place nowFFChris said:Just explain it? Most people know how to get to the scans.
I hope you are right, but I doubt it. Most likely all the magazine reporters were shown the same demo. Game Informer wouldn't hold info back if the embargo is lifted.Zeouterlimits said:Edge feature out the 21st, will definetely pick it up.

I think the biggest problem is how much of the article was already inferred from the leaks/trailer.Don't listen to these forum posters, Bungie! Keep teasing! Diddle me!

Yep. I'll semi-disappointed if nothing is changed but the sound.Arnie said:I'm really intrigued to see what changes were made gameplay wise to the AR. It was my biggest disappointment of Halo 3. I do hope they have given it a level of control it previously lacked. Loving what I hear so far.
But, the sound NEEDED a change from H3 though. The put-put-put in H3 was lame compared to H1.Dax01 said:Yep. I'll semi-disappointed if nothing is changed but the sound.

Elite: Wort wort wort!
It's stupid. It serves well for grunts and short phrases, but as a language? No. Unless Bungie has modified Elites to speak something other than "wort wort wort."
