Totally understandable, don't wanna make any promises you're not sure you can keep, and I appreciate the effort. You guys have been pushing out enough Reach content to keep me satiated for a good while. Again, nice update.urk said:We wanted to. Brian even did some leg work and drummed up some details. It's just too early to talk about some of that stuff since we're not even in Alpha yet. Looks like it will be pretty positive news, but we're definitely not willing to write checks just yet.
electricpirate said:There was some, but it wasn't as obvious as the smoke trails in Halo 2. I agree though, more feedback on the arc of nades would be great.

Who'd honestly prefer a longer fuse?Chrange said:It would be nice to have two fuse options for grenades - tap the button for short fuse or hold it for longer fuse.

Not a Jellyfish said:I don't see a need for that. I think part of the fun and skill of Halo is grenade placement. Nothing better than a well placed grenade that people just seem to walk into.
The possibility of cooking nades would be interesting but I don't see a need for it.
Chrange said:Yeah, I hate options that don't require a new button to use and don't take away from anything in any way. Horrible idea!
I bought new Sennheisers for the second computer. Yet everyone prefers to use the 30 year old Sennheisers with crusty foam because they sound way better. Maybe i will search for a way to make my own frankencans, combining them with the wireless 360 headset and/or several broken wired headsets i have laying around.DiabolicalBagel said:My understanding is that you most definitely do not want a 'gaming headset' if you wish to fully enjoy the sound that reaches your ears.
While it will be an improvement if you're on some cheap speakers, I've heard it's not much of one.
Them audiophile folk around here say a good pair of stereo headphones is the direction in which you need to go. But then of course you have the mic issue.
If you're rich, that's no problem though; You can buy all sorts of stuff to get the chat going through those cans with a clip on/360 packaged mic.
(not trying to be condescending btw (just read it myself and that's how it seems =/ ) just don't want anyone blowing their cash on something they wouldn't be satisfied with. Selecting an audio solution is one of the hardest things ever, imo)
Um, no.Gui_PT said:One thing that really disappointed me is that Halo 3 has less AI per encounter compared to Halo CE.
Halo 3 has 20, I believe.
But a team of guys who "know the levels" have counted at least 70 AI's at certain moments of Flood Levels.
Bungie, please fix this for Reach
And use BRs, that don't even have hitscan?? What are we, animals?rar said:so does gaf not do customs anymore or what?
That's boring. Let's talk about food again!:lolGui_PT said:We're having very important AI discussions at the moment
Ah. That's what I get for posting right after waking up from a nap. :lolGui_PT said:I should've said it was a joke post, sorry.
I'll try to explain later with some screenshots :lol
Kenak said:Does anyone remember before Halo 3 came out where Bungie said something interesting happens on the map Isolation if you play on it long enough? Did they scrap that or did I just never see it?

I believe 5 minutes. Here's a timelapse of one area. I think it climbs up the walls too, but I'm not sure.Kenak said:After how long?
Oh shit. You're a GAF'er.randomlyrossy said:I may not post on HaloGAF much but I'm certainly glad I got in on this stream :lol
I'm just teasing. I don't think it would really take much - if anything - for resources though. There's no new animation, modeling, or texture work needed - just changing existing behaviour on grenades if the button is held. Not a Jellyfish said:Ok, calm down. Wasn't attacking, just disagreeing.
Tashi0106 said:Oh no, I think the Halo 3 grenades are perfect the way they are.
Dani said:No! Imagine how much more fun it would be if you seen a grenade and had no idea if it was going to go off immediately or in another few seconds later! Imagine the even more incredible bank shots! </sarc>
I'm sure the key choke points on every map wouldn't have a pile of grenades on the floor, cooking until some bozo decides to step out.Dani said:No!
