Four videos per person seems like a good idea, it already seems quite bloated as it is. Poor Bladed, I fear for his sanity when this is all over.

It was the endless video capturing that was giving me the headache. Now I don't have that headache I'm quite looking forward to putting this thing together. Some seriously awesome clips so far btw. Some epic, some superskills, and quite a few lolz.

Damn, I'm regretting balking on the Intensity Pro a while back now
waiting for affordable 1080p capture
. I would have totally chipped in on some HD capturing. Is that what you've got, Dual?

I know, I've been MIA ... or maybe KIA. I've gotten quite addicted to MW2 for the past while, but I think that fad is coming to an end. I'll definitely be there the second that the Reach beta is released.

A bit off topic, but I have to say thank you to nintendo for releasing Picross 3D on May 3rd. I don't have to worry about my wife being bored while I take up the TV playing Reach all day now. :D

Also I think the kind of music used in your 3rd montage is good for montages in general, a theme with no lyrics will go down better than a rock/ metal/ rap song would for most people :lol

Nothing that expensive haha. You'll be waiting awhile for something like that methinks.

I've only got this thing which records in 720p.

Speaking of the beta, do we have a more specific date when the beta will be released (other than Spring 2010)? I haven't really been keeping up on Reach as much as I should be.

I hope there's lots of those and just tons of overall variety in kills. Montages of endless noscopes and exterms can be found by the thousands on youtube already.

Ohyeah, I was looking at that too. Question. Can you play and cap at the same time? Does capping introduce any lag?

Edit: NM. I realize why I didn't go that route. Really looking for something with HDMI as well. End derail. Carry on.

I have a few clips to share, but I won't have live until friday at the earliest :(

I just sent an extra copy of the Halo: Reach issue of Game Informer to a guy. Jesus it was annoying trying to find the right sized yellow envelope and figuring out how much goddamned postage to attach. I hope I did it correctly; I'd hate to let him down.

In an unrelated note, where is the podcast? Is there an ETA? I just finished all of my coursework for the foreseeable future, and I need to waste time somehow.

If Vimeo won't host the true HD version, are there any other alternatives where we can download the massive 720p file that will be the HaloGAF montage?

Aisha Tyler recording VO work is great news. She fits right in with Bungie's philosophy of choosing actors who love the Halo games for voice roles.

Bladed, could you add one more clip from me? I've only gotten maybe 5 Overkills outside of Grifball, and this clip has 2 of them in a 2 minute span. That's a download link for a 720p capture from the wonderful Urkmeister. It's still up in my fileshare if you want to keep consistency in capturing.

rac has said he'd be willing to host it on Rapidshare. There are plenty of places we could host the file for download if you want it on your PC. Long way from that though :lol lots to do!

I can take the 720p version that Urk did for you. Now we have DualX2 making everything 720p I can use that one. Saves him a tiny bit of effort.

Not much of a dilema, I will put the Beta first because unlike Mario Galaxy, they will take the Beta away from us in time.

LMAO well im going to play the beta no matter what but im also gonna want to get Galaxy on launch and i dont know if i will be interested enough to play it since ill be addicted to the beta... i wish it came out a week or so after the beta was over, that would be perfect... I didnt know there was such a thing as too many games to play

mass effect, bad company, splintercell, red dead redemptio, reach beta, mario galaxy, alan wake... month after month after month of games lol

Think about all the people who have exams in May, im in my final year of University the beta is going to get untouched by me which truly sucks.

but I dont see your dilemma, Mario or Halo, cmon you cant be serious.
besides, Sonic was always better
