Social Slayer, Team Duals, almost nobody vetos. I cry.

Game starts, the party of 3 on our team quits out immediately.

I figure, the other guy on my team is a Colonel, we might have a chance. He plays until the score's about 20-18, then quits. (He was -4 at the time.) I'm thinking, 5-on-1 with no long-range weapons? I'm screwed.

Someone in the last couple of pages said the smg tears people up. He was so, so right... (Of course, grenades don't hurt...)

Just one month until the Reach Beta thread. Makes the Beta sound not as far away. Anyone want to volunteer to do the art, or should I ping m0dus again? We've got a tradition going at this point.

I would offer to help with the images but I can't touch m0dus.

If he's unable to help this time around I'd be willing to give it my best shot, I know my way around Photoshop and my girlfriend is always on hand to help out (she has better skills than me!).

I can help you compile information and links and that sort of stuff as I've been extensively tracking information for the OP of this thread. We're going to be drowning in even more new Beta information shortly and there will be a lot stuff to go through and sort.

Six weeks until the beta, and it sounds like we've got a steady drumbeat of new stuff every week until then. We'll have plenty to chew over. Startin' to get excited here. :D

We should do this... in Halo 2. It would be the perfect send off.

Also I'm fairly certain that Tashi, Bladed, Ram, and KevinRo (insert another TJ here) could take on any other Halo community team.

This has nothing to do with your post, but I just remembered when you humped me in customs Saturday night after I suicided with the rockets. The rockets did not fire in the direction I aimed at in those close quarters at that structure thing we were by due to Nutter's host lag. F YOU SIR! :lol

Well it cant be Trasher, because he sucks at this game, it cant be blood because he would be playing Halo and get reminded that he has to watch more netflix, and It cant be me because apparently I am only good when I have host.. I guess Luke is the best bet. :p

So, this Arena thing...

How will it handle multi skill parties? If im ranked level 3 and my buddy is ranked level 4 can we both go into the same team slayer match in arena? Where will the matchmaking default to?

If we both start off the same level and then he ranks up, will I no longer be able to play in arena with him?

Just curious how that works and whether it will cause issues with people gaming the system via second accounts etc.

If you are playing Arena, you will be matched up with those who are around the same skill level as the highest ranked player. I believe it has also been said that if you manage to win against higher placed opponents, you will receive a better score.

Have you read Ferrex's Q&A about the Arena mode yet? There are dozens of questions answered so it's the best source of information we have right now outside of last Friday's BWU.

To answer your question, when searching for a match, the Arena takes the highest skill of the party into consideration only. If you a Gold rank and your friends are both Silver then it will match you against other Gold players as it's the highest rank in your party.

You should always be able to party up and head into the Arena with friend of different ranks, unless changes are made in future. Whether your friend is Onyx and you are Steel or any combination.

The system is designed to be better protected from second accounting than Halo 3. Although nothing is full proof, the entire system is designed to attempt to reduce the benefits of second accounts and hopefully the amount of players that do it.

Today i saw the first ViDoc again and i noticed sth. at 3minutes 17sec. Some of the Marine pointed his gun at Noble-6. Maybe we will see some Rebels in Reach.

As Letters said, it looks like he's just covering Noble Six rather than turning his weapon on him. Besides, I can't imagine anyone foolish to wave a gun under the nose of a Spartan. They'd be asking for a quick death.

Having said that, Reach isn't exactly free from Insurrectionist influence and Noble Team are initially sent out to investigate possible Insurrection sabotage. Their inclusion remains to be seen but I'd certainly welcome them in the game.

urk, please confirm "Sword Base" isn't the name of that map.

And if it is in fact the name of that map, can you confirm if "Sword" is a military designation of some kind relating to something to campaign?

Because it is a bad name that I do not like to read.

Anyone remember what the maps were that they showed us before the Halo 3 beta came out?

Well, the MP trailer was meant to show us what to expect from the beta, wasn't it? I surely hope so, because 4 maps is most definitely better than 3 maps. :D

Officially bungie had shown 3 maps, High ground, snowbound and Valhalla.

We had seen leaks of Last Resort and "Epitah"

Side note: whatever happened to Juices? I don't miss his Shishka-bashing, but some of his discussions were mildly interesting...

I go away on Friday and come back to this... Heavenly stuff right here.

Arena seems like a load of fun! Queue joining sounds awesome especially with the Active Roster's real time updating. (I'll miss constantly going to and from Halo 3 Party Details :p)

Zeouterlimits and I had thought that we had encountered one Slightly Live in Dublin but looking back, it sseems as though we were right not to approach him... or were we?

He was banned for 6 months. I believe he'll be back in June.
