Hey guys since we are getting new Reach info every week until the beta, what do you think we will see each week?

We know this week we will see the player investment system on the weekly update. I am hoping next week we get too see info on Power House and Sword Base.

Maps =/= features. The maps can be discussed as part of a bigger blow-out of Invasion or any other gametype/feature they could be hiding that relates to certain maps.

I'd love to know about Forge 2.0, Theater 2.0, Customs 3.0 and FireFight 2.0.

Probably Invasion mode blowout next week. :)

As for the stuff Domino said.. we probably wont find out about that stuff until at least E3.

Hoping the BWU goes into a little bit more detail and answers a few more questions about challenges, cR, unlockables, etc. What time does it usually go up?

I dont think we will hear about Forge or Firefight in the coming weeks.

Im going with Nutter on this one, Invasion seems more likely to be revealed soon.

I think a good way to combat quitting would be if someone quits the beginning or middle of a match, a message pops up on-screen to the player who quit saying something along the lines of "You cannot search for a game in Matchmaking until the match you just quit out of has finished" or something along those lines in addition to a heavy cR fine.

It's a nicer way of saying "here's a 5-20 minute MM ban for quitting and all ur cR are belong to us."

I would not like this. Sometimes you just need to quit, and putting a temporary ban on MM is too much. I think a cR deduction would suffice

urk, urk, urk, "incentivize" isn't really a wooorrrd. It's not a word!

Otherwise, cool BWU. Having new features to discuss each week has turned it from something I check on Sunday afternoons to something I actively anticipate on Fridays. Hype status: elevated.

WAT?

So IF you have quit out of a game/match, and if it forces you to wait to until that said game is finished to search again.... is too much?

cR deduction is not going to help curb the quitters.

It won't be possible to unlock everything in the first week. In addition to systemic measures that will keep this in check, there will be some pretty neat gating factors that will require a collective effort to open.
Community has to get to a certain amount of credits before some things unlock for all?

Any hints for next week's content, Urk? I noticed a slight lack of teasing in the update.

Timing and content of the podcast should be a pretty monster clue. :)

I'm SO stoked over the fact that there's Dailies and Weeklies in a Halo game. I'm really loving this mmo-ish vibe some of the multiplayer features are giving off (monthly Arena resets; Daily and Weekly quests objectives that reward credits for gear). All over my face.

Also, new week's podcast sounds pretty freaking awesome. I can't wait for it!

Is it about what it feels like to step into this guy's hooves?

This is very interesting.

So Frankie was replaced by Luke, then Luke was replaced by Urk. By the time the new Bungie IP is announced, Urk could be writing and recording dialog for the new IP!!! <shuddgers> :lol

All instances of 'wort wort wort' replaced by 'wat wat wat'.

By design, will not fix.

Dude some kind of global requirement to unlock a tier of armor down the road would be pretty awesome if you ask me.

If only they could add 40 player raids and loot drops.
Dude your DPS was way too low in that last CTF match.

That would be amazing. Maybe each tier of armor pieces doesn't unlock until the community hits a collective amount of kills or games or something. And as the community as a whole reaches that milestone each time, it unlocks the next step in armor pieces.

Man that looks good. I will have to hook my 360 back up to online before that game comes out. I guess that means I need to pay for live again.

Blame Stosh

Q. After I earn a pile of Credits and Commendations and hit the Armory to make my Spartan look sweet, will I be able to head over to Bungie.net to survey my righteous works?

A. Stosh is way too busy to be worrying about digging up silly images for everybody this week. Sorry, there isn’t gonna be a Blame Stosh today. For those keeping track, yup, that’s two weeks running, You should know good and well who’s responsible.

This confused me greatly.

Update had some tasty things in there.

Some sort of customization for Elites.

Customization options unlocked via community based milestones.

Design choices to prevent credit boosting.

No hitbox changes.

B.net going to be seeing some tasty upgrades. This is obvious though.

Well I was going to play 168 hours straight and unlock everything... but I might as well just do 12 hour shifts with my brother now :( thanks a lot Bungie.

I think having the freedom to quit when you want and play when you want is something that is standard for every game. Everyone's has had that time where they are getting totally destroyed or the people aren't nice to play with. I'm not supporting quitting, but putting a countdown for when you can play your next one seems a bit harsh.

I have it on both! And I've played it more on 360.

Late response here sorry (work is really killing me), but I swear on my grandmother's grave I have only seen you on Xbox Live ONCE since L4D2 came out. Did you finally get a real job that keeps you to relatively normal hours or something? :lol

no. if im playing 4 on 1 with 15 min left and the scores 10-3, im leaving. i want to play, not wait around for a timer to run out or for someone to quit
