Last night's HaloGAF Customs contained a slight surprise for me. Apparently Bagel and my girlfriend worked together for this:

Those spawns are wack. Lines of sight are not good and flow for encounters is completely off-kilter. Please tell your affianced and Bagel to get schooled at MLG first.

congrats

There's a short video on the site (without audio, thankfully or you'd hear me swearing at Bagel a lot!).

I said yes, as the folks earlier gave away. =P

So thanks everyone that showed last night, thanks Bagel
FUCK YOU=p
, thanks to the wonderful love of my life (who actually posted in this thread last night, hah!) and everyone else for a great time last night!

Congratulations man! And to Bagel, I'm glad I could (unwittingly) help!

That is AMAZING - I love the map and I have to congratulate you Dani, best proposal ever!

Mini game looks really fun too :lol , all in all that is amazing.

This is so great.

Good games last night, that is until lag kicked in and everyone started leaving, but I'm happy I stayed around for the proposal. :)

Made a new desktop background for my computer. I know it's pretty similar to what other people have done, but you guys can use it if you want.

Found this on HBO (click picture).

That's amazing. When Bungie do the inevitable BWU on the beta maps, they should definately include something like this (the interactive panorama, not the image above, although both would be cool) into it.

Because Sundays should be the BUSIEST newsdays on GAF, we can't stop at just a simple marriage proposal :)lol :lol) - Shake Appeal has finally finished his magnum opus:

Nine Levels Underground (Hell and Humanity in Halo 3: ODST)

If all videogame discussion were this erudite, Jack Thompson would be an uknown name.
When you consider that ODST was a one-year project from a small team, its flaws become less glaring, and the promise of Halo: Reach, their next full-blooded game, becomes considerable. We should leave New Mombasa, as the Rookie does, looking up.
Perfect conclusion. ODST was flawed, but one hell of a project for a small team on a year-long development cycle. Really remarkable what they did in such short order.

I don't know what you're talking about. :p

Wish I could have been there, Dani. I was at the beach this weekend (birthday getaway), but that had have been an amazing moment.

It really is very long. I didn't mean for it to be that long. I also didn't really intend for it to be seven sections and 7,777 words (once you deduct the ten that make up the title and subtitle), but once I was in the ballpark I decided I'd have some fun with it.

Thanks to Wu for offering to host it ages ago, and then delivering, and to Dani, who also offered to host. If you want to mirror it, Dani, I'd be happy for it to be a FUD article. As it is, I'm just glad I actually finished it.

(I'm glad juices isn't here to tell me to stop taking videogames so seriously, though I do want to write an even longer article now about why I [mostly] hate Heavy Rain.)

I'm about two thirds way through but I can already see this is a very intelligent, thought provoking piece.

I'd be honoured to mirror the piece on the site. You've already convinced me to shelf some outlining drafts that I had made as irrelevant now that this is out. If you'll allow me, I'll get the piece mirrored shortly and have it made known that it's a mirror of your HBO article.

The more folks that get the chance to have a read, the better. You did a great job and the time and effort you put into it is very apparent. Also, I'm subscribing to any future video game pieces you write, Halo, Heavy Rain or anything. :D

Has anyone ever done a Photosynth of a Halo 3 match?

And congratulations to the person getting married.
Don't know if this counts (can't actually view it myself right now due to throttled connection (idiot house-mates).
