About one of the games last night, sorry blue team, we lost tied that game on Longshore because of me. I kind of wasn't thinking and thinking at the same time. I thought by deploying a gravity lift, it'd make it more difficult for the red team to get the flag...wasn't expecting it to end up helping the red team.

I actually ended up taking longer on this one because I didn't save a project file from my first one :/
I also used a new version of Pano2VR that lets me embed sounds directly into the panorama file. Since I'd done away with the player at the bottom, I still wanted there to be a way for viewers to pause the sound if it got annoying, just click the little "sound off" button in the top-left corner to pause it, click again to turn it back on. There's also a nifty little button in the bottom-right...I wonder what that does?
I used a 60° field of view for this, but for some reason I can't zoom out even though I set the max zoom level to 90°, I can't figure that out. The default field of view is perfect though, and you can still zoom in a little.

Last night's HaloGAF Customs contained a slight surprise for me. Apparently Bagel and my girlfriend worked together for this:
There's a short video on the site (without audio, thankfully or you'd hear me swearing at Bagel a lot!).

I know, it's been explained that in FFA that TrueSkill works it's best and I can't argue the fact. I'm just not comfortable in that playlist. For Ranked games, which should account for a significantly low percentage of my overall games, I feel much more comfortable in a team, having folks backing me up and not having to worry about every single person I see during the game.
I'm a nervous wreck playing Ranked FFA. I can't play more than a few games in a row and usually I'll play just the one game and hop into another playlist. It's too draining.
A lot of folks gain higher ranks in Ranked games than they would in FFA. What Luke says means it's possible and it happens. I guess I wanted to fall back on that myself in Halo 3 sometimes, seeing as my peers are usually higher Ranked than I am despite the similar skill levels.
I do think I preform better in team games because of the other players helping me out. So when I look at my Lone Wolf Rank I think to myself I could easily get higher than that in a team Ranked playlist with the right team.
The way the changes work means despite the Arena having teams I still need to make sure I'm pulling my weight as the TrueSkill will evaluate my actions separately from the results of the team. No one can carry me no matter how good the team does.
A good example is Luke saying that Bob got his rank pulled upwards by playing with other players. That won't happen in Reach. My rank in team games is already quite low, due to the factors I mentioned, and I think my performance in Arena, although it remains to be seen, won't be as good as I'm hoping.
I'm not too worried. I don't play Ranked very much, and even though I'll probably be playing Arena more than Ranked in Halo 3, the majority of games I play are Social, so I'll be sticking to the regular or Invasion playlists in Reach.
