Not sure if anyone needs/wants it, but I re-rendered the GTTV footage (from the .flv file) into QuickTime and WMV versions - just the Halo footage. Might be useful for folks who don't have tools for stepping through a Flash file...

I think it would be neat if when a Brute swings the Hammer, it makes a much more horrifying loud/scary sound then when you do it.

I'd like to see the ability to swing the hammer sideways... and make things go flying far off into the distance.

I seriously hope they ramp up how aggressive they are in Reach. I always found Elites much more sneaky and tactical to fight but I want the Brutes to be...well, more Brutish. :lol

So if you're going for a Sniper Spree, but get a hammer kill or shotgun kill, it'll interrupt. But an assassination or needler kill won't? If so, that'll work.



And the Revenge Medal is new. Along with 'First Strike' right? I'm loving both so far. And I was just mentioning ones that carried over from ODST.

First strike? Sweet, that will spice up the start of matches, I know on CoD I race with friends to get first blood a lot

I hope they find a good mix between the original art style of the Brute and the Halo 3 style. I wasn't a huge fan of their appearance in 3.

Yeah. The brute armor was too much. I never really cared for the extravagant brute helmets, either. A brute should be more grungy/gritty (whatever you wanna call it), similar to boba fett from Star Wars. He was lethal, but he wasn't decked out in fancy armor. We need the brutes to follow suit.

Which reminds me, the "Invasion bonus" seen in this screen is probably for completing different phases of the game. Completing Phase 1, 2 and 3 each have larger rewards.

MLG Update: Championship Sunday. Only 3 teams remain. Final Boss just knocked out Status Quo in the Loser's Bracket Semifinals in 5 games. They now move on to the Loser's Bracket Finals to face Classic, who were just 3-0'd by Instinct in the Winner's Bracket Finals. Oh man, oh man!

There are so many little things in this trailer that make me happy. Shots of the AR scooping up triple kills, shots of the pistol not being able to pull of a kill against an Elite (around 10:15). Really reinforces everything EazyB (credit where its due) said about how the two weapons will be balanced.

I am now officially BEGGING for an AR/DMR loadout. PLEASE.

Even in Halo 3, the pistol isn't useless. Far from it. Just don't dual wield it and you'll be a killing machine.

The Reach pistol is worth getting hot and bothered over.

So.

I was thinking about the game structure of Invasion, and what that could imply for custom game options and Forge flexibility. Being able to move the phase 1, 2, and 3 objectives, and the area markers to score them. The option to set what load outs and vehicles unlock for each side on each phase. I wonder if we'll have the option to remove load outs as the game progresses, not just add them, so each phase would be a specialized kind of game, and the different objectives placed accordingly.

And then, what kind of brilliant and insane game types are going to emerge from that kind of customization.

And then my head started to hurt.

The Reach pistol is worth getting hot and bothered over.

Against anyone half decent the pistol is useless. Dont get me wrong ive pulled off some very satisfying 5shots against BR users, but the fact its so rare is proof alone (in my mind) that the thing is useless.

300 Pistol kills isnt really a lot in 3 years. Especially since playlists like Swat and ODST make it extremely easy to get em.

The assumption seems to be is that this is the "core" you're suppose to take from the vault in Invasion.
