As for MLG for Reach, I really hope that Bungie includes a Foundry/Sandbox type map at launch because I really don't see Reach having many 4v4 sized arena style maps. :/

Didnt they impliment a system in Halo 3 where they match quitters up with other quitters? I seem to remember reading that somewhere? It would add to matchmaking times but would be worth it. Shame it wont help with 'Idlers' though.

Bungie just confirmed a Teletubbys/ Halo crossover. Speculation is that it will just be higher gravity - Jetpack only, plasma pistols and will only effect multiplayer, but if it seeps into story mode this could be epic.

Personally, I think Equipment is kind of like a power weapon, if used properly. MLG should have never taken it out in the first place. Its like a newsfeed of Halo info. This isnt a newsfeed this is a thread, and the Halo games have a big amount of backstory and just general conversation areas attributed with them, a lot of conversations are gonna happen.

Read their articles on the gametypes, they go into detail on why each piece of equipment was removed. Generally they were either pointless or overpowered for mlg gametypes. Sprint shouldn't be neither, as it mostly does things mlg likes: speeding up the game, and making it easier to contest objectives.Kapura said:

And in case someone doesn't know, to save a jpeg gif as a regular gif from tinypic, you need to put a ".gif" at the end of the file name when choosing save destination or it'll save as a 1 frame jpeg. Or at least that's how it is on my laptop.

Having people poke their head in here for info and getting lost, only to say to them "HEY THIS ISN'T JUST FOR REACH BUT ALL THINGS HALO, GO TO HBO FOR MOSTLY REACH TALK" and basically to ignore the thread title is stupid.

Did anyone notice that the jumping looks a little quicker/not as high in the recent footage? I'm not complaining, I'm one who actually thought the jumping felt to "floaty" before. The game definitely looks to have a faster pace, especially with the sprint/dive roll function. Oh, and one more question; does anyone know how the dive for elites work? Does your whole screen spin around when you take the dive, or does your reticule aim on the same spot (so we dont all get hella dizzy)?
It is silly and fun. Most people on GAF don't know I rock a Bungie avatar, which amuses me. Now it's a Bungie avatar with a Reach garnish, which is even more obscure. This also amuses me. FunkyMunkey I have to say I post in here instead of elsewhere because I want the opinion of the people here, I just dont see why it affects you so much, there are sites out there dedicated to spitting out new info as it comes out. This is a discussion forum. How well would it go down if I went into a Football thread and demanded that they stopped talking about the general stuff and instead gave me a running feed of transfer information and match scores?
Sure there are forums out there for each football team, but what if you want to discuss Football with a pretty wide section of fans from different clubs?

So what do guys think are the chances of seeing really awesome silly extravagant armor permutations that will cost super amounts of credits.
Knowing already that armor permutations will not affect the hitboxes, it just seems to sense to put things like that in the game.
OOOOOR. May be certain emblems/permutations can be rewarded for how you do in Arena. Kinda like the way Blizzard gives out titles based on your Arena performance.

The new "spawn-on-your-bro-coop-style" is awesome.
It makes Invasion feel like playing the campaign, which is something truly amazing.
Even more so, if you see the elites do crazy things like slashing a Scorpion jumping around like a badass ninja.
And the Expert Marksman loadout is crazy. DMR-AR. Will it be Invasion only or will this become the standard marksman loadout? Hope the latter.
