My expectations are a lot more higher than expecting some tweaks. I'd be disappointed if it's just tweaks, class based Halo plz.Dax01 said:My guesses: health bar (duh), slower in regards to walking/running, not able to jump as high (though higher than an ODST). I'm only expecting tweaks.

Seriously. I have this song on repeat right now, and it's helping me knock out my homework.Thermite said:You shut your dirty whore mouth, sir!

But I'm anxious to hear the rest of the soundtrack.

Hopefully before the update so we have something to listen to during the day. Unless of course, the BWU is up early.Domino Theory said:According to Btweets, the podcast should be out tomorrow.

If you look closely at the helmet sitting on the table, you'll see a camera fixed to the right side of the commander's helmet. Knifey McSharpington (not an official name) has a similar camera on his helmet, but other members of the crew are missing them. Could this mean that you'll be able to see what your co-op friends are doing in the midst of battle? Also worthy of note: A voice-over communications device says, "Winter contingency has been declared. All units are mobilized and ready." This is also a line from the Halo novel, The Fall of Reach.
Once again, we see the sniper from the early portion of the trailer in the lower-left side of the screen. He has what appears to be some kind of fabric on his back, which, based on its size and location, might serve as some kind of camouflage that he can pull over his head and scope while in the prone position.
I'd say Halo 2 was revolutionary.Falagard said:This is Halo and Bungie we're talking about. I'd love to see something completely innovative and new, but it's more likely they'll do what they've done for the last 10 years: create a game that is an evolution of its predecessor, not a revolution.
This. Halo 2 was Xbox Live back in 2004. (=( RIP Clan Matches. Friends list was so much faster than the 360 dashboard too)advent29 said:I'd say Halo 2 was revolutionary.
Speaking of Halo 2, any idea on why my H2 DLC maps are corrupted everytime I come back to play a couple of matches every few months? It's a pain in the ass having to redownload them everytime through that interface they set up for them back then.Kibbles said:This. Halo 2 was Xbox Live back in 2004. (=( RIP Clan Matches. I felt like Halo 2 brought a lot of counter-strike/half-life innovation and integration into the Xbox. Clans, friends lists, and a lot of the way Halo 2 handled the scopes and feel, was largely like a combo of what Counter-strike was doing and what they had accomplished in Halo 1. Halo 3 took a step back as far as MP goes, but that's just my opinion (bumper jumper aside).Kibbles said:This. Halo 2 was Xbox Live back in 2004. (=( RIP Clan Matches. Shiiiit. Raises a lot of questions.Kibbles said:
This x1000. H2 was so fun to me because of all the random awesome stuff you could do that Bungie could have never foreseen. From creativity like Zombies and Tower of Power (shit was hard with a good defending team), to the game exploits like getting out of maps and super jumps. H2 was just so damn fun in custom games. I literally spent thousands of hours glitching out of maps and having epic hide and seek matches. I also liked to build forts and such for fun, and then blow them up.Kibbles said:Yup. Speaking of Halo 2, I remember games like Dodgeball on Colossus, Tower of Power, Zombies on Foundation (or other maps like Headlong), glitching out of maps for exploration and fun, etc. I don't get much of that anymore. My friends are either playing Matchmaking all the time or lame customs like br warmups. I actually haven't played Halo 3 in a while though. I got to pop that sucker back in, see how sweet MLG Heretic is.
The composition of that image is pretty good. I would take that any day.Kibbles said:Pff, I make my own gameplay screens if Bungie doesn't deliver the goods.
Okay, last mock-up for now. Just trying to get a taste of how it will look. I would've tried to remake the HUD from the Morello pics but I didn't save this one a PSD.
Halo 3 was not a step back. However, Halo 2 was more of an evolution than Halo 3 in terms of MP gameplay alone. When you consider the whole package (replays, forge, etc) Halo 3 is the most ambitious console FPS ever so the fact they didn't break the mold when it came to gameplay is just fine. I am pretty sure that Reach will be a step into the other direction, evolution through means of gameplay, hence why I am so excited.Major Williams said:I felt like Halo 2 brought a lot of counter-strike/half-life innovation and integration into the Xbox. I like your thought process. When I said took a step back I probably should have said laterally.godhandiscen said:The composition of that image is pretty good. I would take that any day.

Holy crap that looks awesome. I'm curious as to how long it is before someone posts this on Gamefaqs or N4G saying it's a new screen from Reach. :lolKibbles said:Pff, I make my own gameplay screens if Bungie doesn't deliver the goods.

Squad based gameplay with the 5 members of the squad and stealth segments with the Lone Wolf. I just hope its not like ODST and the Lone Wolf isn't left around looking for Clues.
This reminded me of something. Fragula was talking about how pissed he was about this helmet scratching thing and how ridiculous it was that a Spartan could get away with messing up his expensive armor, but I just recalled that Spartan III's were on certain drugs that make them really aggressive and, if you will, asshole-ish. Having a chip on their shoulder etc. So he shouldn't get too bent out of shape that a Spartan III would do this type of thing. Maybe? HahaDani said:I'm hoping the trailer FAQ answers some of the more important questions in the BWU tomorrow.
The Spartan III/II and the real time/not real time debates both pales into comparison with the real important issue at hand.
Does carving a skull on the face of your helmet obscure your vision much?

It's just more supporting evidence that there are more than one!Dani said:True, unless Lone Wolf is the only Spartan III.

Do you have 10 ideas on how to make Halos player interface better?
Do you hate that moment in a game when you realize that youve found the ultimate powerful weapon, making all others pointless?

Halo: Modern Warfarekylej said:So in the last few pages the recommendations I've seen from random people I've never seen in a Halo thread before are
1) Lower the amount of damage it takes to kill someone
2) Implement a perk system
3) Change vehicle controls
4) Remove the Halo player physics like high jumping
