Expendable. said:I talked with the producer of the film and she said she HATES the comparisions to Kick-Ass heh. I think they are somewhat warranted.

Jakeh111 said:Seen it last night and thought some parts were pretty stupid and laid out just to move the story.
When Anna tells the girl she met where she was really meeting her Dad, and at the end where Cate Blanchett is running around in high heels...

Sometimes its fun to go in blind and be surprised , but I guess you sometimes risk stepping into a pile of shit like this one.
I had to look up the list of movies for last year and it came out to about 12 movies. I think just seeing the rating on rottentomatoes at 86% set my expectations for the movie at least being ok. I went in expecting something like The Fighter I guess, an artistic and intelligent film playing on your emotions. While I didn't really enjoy the fighter I could appreciate what it was trying to do. With Hanna I just felt insulted when the movie was trying to do fast paced action or dramatic camera shots.Expendable. said:Damn dude, you must avoid some pretty shitty films to actually feel robbed after seeing Hanna of all things. How many films do you see per year? 1 or 2?

Edit: Maybe I just turned into some kind of a weird movie hipster because the last movies I can recall enjoying are Machete, Drive Angry and Repo The Genetic Opera. Also I totally blocked out watching Tron Legacy a month ago. Yeah that was a pretty bad movie but I guess it didn't bother me because I went in expecting mediocrity.
I think I appreciated the action scene on some level but the whole time I also was bothered by how out of place it was. It made me think of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qJaADSMkzYExpendable. said:Did you at least like the? I thought it was pretty intense. It made me think of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qJaADSMkzYwhen I saw the merry go round I thought about how entirely unnecessary it would be to the whole scene for it to start spinning but that it was going to happen anyway because action movie logic dictated it so.
The chase scene reminded me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQM6MgOx8g8&#t=0m24s
Maybe its just me and I hit a pop culture/media saturation point. Because I think there are a few other scenes in the movie where instead of watching it I was thinking about where else have I seen/experienced something similar. Or maybe I was just bored.
Bit-Bit said:I enjoyed it quite a bit. The soundtrack was really good. The last act wasn't as good as the other two.
Jakeh111 said:Anyone else think the audio mix had too much bass? When I seen it it felt like too much of the audio was going to the subwoofer or it was overdone. Like when Anna is running on top the of the transport containers.
