that is so going to F themselves in the A if they really do so, since PS2 version isn't coming out till like Fall.Cruel Bastard Mario said:That would be dumb as fuck, but it seems like the shareholders are running Capcom now, so you never know :lol
Ronin said:No, but I did see a new MP2 commercial.
Shard said:I am sure we will se said commercial sonner or later.

Anyway, I don't think that the eventually release of Resident Evil 4 on the PS2 is really going to hurt the sales of the Gamecube version, since there still is a " exclusivtivity widow" of nearly a year still in place. Think of it like Splinter Cell being an X-Box for a period of months as an example.
Shard said:Really, the important thing here is that the GC version actually manages to sell well enough at the box office, since this is the big one from Capcom and their future development on the Gamecube is going to hinge directly on the success or failure of this title.
Shard said:That is what I heard, think of it like Namco giving the Gamecube a couple of exclusive RPGs after Soul Calibur 2 GC perfromed better then expected and outdrew the other versions.
Draff said:It's not like Capcom was any more successful with the PS2 which they gave more exclusives to anyway (Onimusha, DMC etc).
Draff said:It's not like Capcom didn't have any games on the PS2 which was well below their expectations (Onimusha, DMC etc)

While this may be true, I think it's worth noting that REmake and RE0 did perform solidly (IIRC, each sold at least 400,000 in the U.S. alone). Capcom also has a history of making unrealistically high sales projections.Amir0x said:One of the main reasons Capcom is so reluctant. Not a single RE game managed to perform to expectations. That's something major right there.

I agree. Plus, it had the misfortune of coming out entirely too soon after REmake.SantaCruZer said:Personally I think RE0 did damn good, because it's a worse game than Remake. RE0 is not scary, type c controller removed, giant bug fest, and no crimson heads etc.
I seriously doubt that Capcom will begin development on a new GC title in February, when RE4 sales are in. It's simply getting too late in the GC's lifecycle, and most third-party GC software releases are a risk now anyway.Shard said:Yea, plus I am less inclined to believe that Capcom is done with the Gamecube then an Edios or a Lucasarts since Capcom is Japanese gaming firm and the fact that Capcom and Nintendo still have some close ties with one another.
