Has the Fat Ciri meme replaced the Fat Aloy meme in 2025 and beyond?

I'm seeing a lot of swelling in her face.

Maybe she just needs to take a fluid pill.

Bogdanoff's on the prowl.
Interesting, then this might be shocking

Yep. Her hairstyle is completely at odd with her face. She's got a pretty face, but they gave her such a weird hairstyle that it effectively gets cancelled out.
Sometimes the problems is too much hairs, sometimes is no hairs at all, it seems like sony should hire someone like the zohan to take care of their character design

These look like screens from the first game ?
2 are from zd, 1 is from fw, but people had this wrong impression that aloy didn't had a bit of puffy cheeks in zd when the reality is that depend on the camera angle\pic choice, bitch can look like a mix between fucking wayne rooney and the protagonist of bully

aloy_closeup.jpg

And i would arguably say that in the first pic from fw she doesn't look like she has a bit of down syndrome like the other 2, the face rendering\expression range is definitely better in fw at the price of like 5% puffier cheeks.

Man, I don't see her being fat or having a fat face like at all, she looks "older" tho, but I think that's because Ciri in TW3 looks more stylized and this one goes for a more "realistic" look, which will inevitably bring any skin imperfection to be more noticiable

While she looks off in the CG trailer but don't see anything fat about her. Aloy had a chubby face but not this Ciri even if she does look off.

I dont like her in the cgi but I gave them a benefit of doubt . Wait for the ingame trailer (2-3 years ?) .
Same, the in game scenes should be better. It was similar to how Tifa looked better during the ingame cutscenes compared to the few CG scenes she had in the game.

She got older. Happens to a lot of us over time.

Aside - Someone expressed to me once that they didn't like how ciri was changed to a little girl in the show. I said it was probably so she didn't get read as a love interest. Makes sense to me since geralt is boning his other two gal pals.

Why are there fat Ciri pics going around? I feel like im missing the context here.
It's the same thing that happened to Lady from DMC.

In the older games she had a more anime/feminine look but she's been replaced by a still good looking realistic/actors face. People go crazy about these inconsequential things whenever it happens.

the top is the original.

It's lot more obvious in the GIF, (bigger face is the original)

This was also the case for Dragon Age.
It's something that's not instantly noticeable but as I do portrait drawings it kinda stood out.
It's looks like lens distortion to me or it could be the model is actually modelled that way.

This is the "let 'em age like normal people" bit falls apart in vidja games. Modern humans are lazy fat fucks because they sit in a chair for their entire life sucking down sugar every 2 hours. Folks in a primitive environment had to WORK 18 hours a day just to live, none of them were fat.

Kirsten Dunst hasn't undergone the trial of grasses either, nor is she constantly drinking toxic potions, which probably makes her ugly.

The thing is, Witchers aren't supposed to be pretty. Geralt in TW3 is already too handsome, which is a mistake compared to the books. Sorceresses are another matter.

Woah, if you didn't post that gif, I would never realize the difference, think is not obvious because her whole head gets bigger, fat would be more puff on the cheecks and chin, not the size of the head expanding, right?

Could be fish eye effect, had to google it but I'm not sure if it is or how it works with the rest of the image that's not focused on her big ass head :pie_roffles:

I don't necessarily think "old" Ciri should be attractive (though I'd prefer it), just that she should look more lean and even gaunt compared to how a woman might age today (minus buccal fat removal, botox, bulemia, etc).

Geralt definitely pulls a lot of tail, especially amongst the Sorceresses, so he clearly has an attractive masculinity. I think the game captured it well versus a typical "model good looks" that might pass today, which has a bit of an effeminate air to me, even if the model has razor sharp cheekbones and a chin that could stop a train. Cavill is definitely too pretty but he carries the role well for TV.

The real question is...why make her soo old to have a built-in reason to make her uglier and puffier?

Nobody would have called them out if she was just 3-4 years older than w3 in the new game, not a single fucking soul.

People act like the devs are not the people who decide all this stuff, nothing is random or left to the case.

But Witchers can live for hundreds of years, no? Theoretically it could be 50 years later and she would still have a youthful(ish) look. I'm assuming they needed some time to pass so she could go do this Lynx/Cat school thing. Guess we will see if any of the usual human cast like Dijkstra show up. I doubt they will want to move totally away from the political scene in Witcher3 so I don't think they will jump ahead more than a decade (and rely on flashbacks).

We should just be glad they didn't model Ciri on some actual women who fight for a living (Cyborg as an example)...

though there are more attractive options..

I still dont see how she's fat. You people are fucking nuts.

Aloy's new found plumpness is one thing, but Ciri aint thick. Like at all.
She's not, she has a rounder face than the W3 model because it's based on a different person's faces. People have all different face shapes

It's not lens distortion. It's just different focal length on a close up shot much like the old Aloy shot. You've edited the original to make her look less chubby but that is her natural face close up with a short focal length.

Yeah that's exactly what I did, to be exact.
I highered her jaw, lowered her eyes, reduced her cheekbone and temple size.
And by 20%/50%
Now I did say I the Trailer thread is was Camera related and I didn't think anything was actually wrong other then how it was perceived by the camera.
But that's assuming that's what it is, it looks like it but.
Dragon Age did the same thing across the board.
