Xbox officially embraces the "Green Rats" meme

At end of the ad it suggested he already own Xbox, so why he turn to rat?

Ehh...this just seems to be themed as a "rat race", like very on the nose so.
Spot on yeah. Could've showed bored people instead and black and white colors and then full color and a happy person at the end.
I use the term "stuck in the hamster wheel" for this phase of life when you realize days blend together and all you do is work eat sleep repeat.
People joke here but I like this video. I just think they stumble when focusing on cloud streaming on a TV, worst way to wake up.

Okay, I love that they did this. My only disappointment is no cameo by a Little Chicken Little Chicken . It is weird but definitely not as weird as some of the stuff Sony has put out there.
They couldn't do such a noble creature justice!!

I know most people know this but they worry too much about their public perception

I have heard them talk about forums and reddit and name a few places specifically and this was one of them.
Every company does, weather it's about them or general industry. Perception management and insights are very important to both public and private sectors and they pay through the nose for monitoring 🐤

I won't criticize them for seeing potential trends and acting accordingly. But I don't understand how they did not right the ship a long time ago. So much potential has been squandered ever since they released that camera because they got the hots for the Nintendo Wii. Yet they never course corrected until they spent themselves into a 3rd party company. That was weird.

I love how the second post in that topic pings the mods to take action, and yet since then that user has also been banned lmao

Wow, I'm a long time Gaffer but for some reason I missed this. Pretty funny stuff.

I think it's just a coincidence and they are referring to the rat race in general.

Lol, gaf being gaf...The ad is referencing the "Rat Race", the endless cycle that millions of people endure on a daily basis, not some meme on some video game forum. Get over yourselves...you're not that important.

I'm laughing so hard right now. For a second I thought maybe this is an AI joke, but nah.

We are in that "other" timeline that branched off from the main one and is doomed to implode while no one notices or cares.

I don't understand why they made this, what are they promoting? It could have been an ad for any product up until the minute mark. They didn't even do anything clever with the rat thing. Weird push. I'm excited when all this shit is over and they just become a game company. It just feels sad at this point.

Is this a Euro market ad?

American Rats clock out at 5.
Man I feel so crazy to remember that when in Japan as an exchange student we would clock at 7pm and a lot of other employees clocked at late hours, as you are frowned for getting out early even after your hours we're done. Those were one of cultural shocks I had because work culture there is crazy. I was the dirty gaijin that left early. They didn't say a thing but I could feel those stares that cut like knives.

Sorry for the rant, but it reminded me of one of the best and most lonely moments I had in my life away from home.
