Xbox officially embraces the "Green Rats" meme

So, the best thing Xbox has released in recent years is a commercial where they label their fanbase as rats.

Well the Hamster gimmick does a good job of distracting from the complete absence of actual xboxes in that ad!

TV / Phone + Controller = Xbox.

Where it all began:

Still the most homoerotic meltdown of all time

Green Rat App on my PC playing the Green Gamepass.
Need to change Rat to Gopher to make it Green Gopher Gampass.

Great Green Globs of Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts.

They are implying that you stop being a rat race when you play xbox though. Not the green rats meme GAF uses.

I also found it funny that the ad is not even for an xbox console but for a Samsung OLED tv. The ad itself was nice.

Errrr....It's more like the reverse of the green rat meme... Supposedly, when you play on Xbox, you stop being a rat🤷🤷🤷

Whatever the message, what a waste of money and another example of the incompetence and shame of

There 100% are Xbox brass that come to GAF from time to time they will just never interact with anyone
Sounds like par for the course then.

I mean, why ask people who actually play games what they would buy when a bunch of marketing interns already know the answer because they majored in women's studies?

JK - My actual guess is they don't interact here because they just don't like selling too many games and setting expectations too high for the next acquisition. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The great thing about being at GAF is we are pretty free to speak our minds here as long as we do not get overly disrespectful, we are not overly moderated

The downside is people tend to run those more important people off

Haha, when i saw the thread i thought this was a joke or something. Watching this ad made me go "that's a brilliant idea" at the end. They took something from the meme sphere and transformed it into a message that i think serves the brand really well. Come on, you can look at my post history to know i'm not a fan of any gaming company. You gotta give credit where credits due.

At least u can be sure Microsoft checks on gaf very often even if they try their best to hide actual identities, here we provide them with actual info, unlike rainbow forum thats is fully hypocrite and never alligns with gaming trends(they allign with sellout journos/woke devs fully tho, just not with actual gaming audience, do not mistaken it for so called "modern audience" that doesnt exist/doesnt buy games ;)
They prefer GAF for accessibility, the purple site is huge and messy.
