Damn, I had a dream where I was playing the Joker and I ended up dying from cancer. I was there at the premiere and I saw people cry at the end because they knew I was dead.

Not at all surprised at the number of people here talking about The Dark Knight. GAF is bizarre when it comes to things they like.

I think he could have had a similar career to that of Christian Bale. Terrific actor, terrific role choices...

And it's only now that I just realized that Bale and Ledger have a movie together in the new Batman.

What a shame, I bet they're great together. Damnit.

Ledger should have thought of that. That's not the responsibility of anyone here. Did anyone care about Ledger because of his daughter, or was it because of his acting career?

Fox reports that TMZ has confirmed that he was renting the apartment from her. Still she had a Drug problem in the past, if shes any way connected to giving him those pills ram her up the ass!

It's in post production apparently so it won't be delayed. And it's logical to care about his most recent work. He is known for being an actor, not a shoe salesman.

The difference between this and Brandon Lee was that someone accidentally shot Lee with ammo that was thought to be blank. Ledger fucking did himself in.

I can't stop crying. Real tears man. This man was born 12 days before my sister, my lovely sister, shit. I mean, fuck, I can remember her having her first kiss and coming back with a sun-size smile on her face and half-dozen potential new born dreams in her head.

And someone of her age just fucking died and let a 2 yo child behind him ? I just can't take it, it's much too hard for me. And this guy was so awesome.

I'll never be able to watch TDK, despite all my love for Bale. Never.

Look, there are few death threads on GAF where people ridicule someone's death just because it happened in ZOO, laundry, while doing sex etc. The very same day it happened. Yet here we have an actor, nerd legend and we can't joke (durrrr) about it?

Not to add to the odd contingent of people more worried about the film than a man's death, but this is from an interview during filming for The Dark Knight:

“Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night,” he said. “I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going.” One night he took an Ambien, which failed to work. He took a second one and fell into a stupor, only to wake up an hour later, his mind still racing.

Wow, pretty fucking terrible this. I'm not even a fan, but I felt my stomach turning when I read it. He was finally getting to play in really good movies and now this. Has to suck for Terry Gilliam too (Heath was filming his next movie with him) the guy can't get a break with directing it seems.

Uh, what? You yourself called someone an asshole for worrying about Batman's status. Seriously, to disregard what Heath Ledger's life was dedicated to is disrespectful. This is definitely not the time to act like he wasn't an actor and forgot about his accomplishments, which Batman certainly looks to be one of.
