Hell Yeah! |OT| That rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!

I tried the game once. I liked what I played but the stuttering made me wait for a patch before starting to play it "for real" so I can enjoy it without being annoyed.

I've been waiting for a patch as well. Been hoping every time this thread gets bumped there is news of one. :/ The stuttering became unbearable for me.

So the PC version is part of the Halloween Steam sale, wonder if the PSN version will be a discount tomorrow too?

The PC version is the best version, so everyone should just buy that! Neat litte thing, not sure if the consoles do this, but if you have a 5.1 setup on PC the music comes out of the rear speakers only! It gives it a really cool feeling and is quite unique. I love it! I realize that probably sounds weird but you have to experience it to taste the happy... and now that it's so cheap you can! And should!

I just started this game. I love it. Really great addition to PS+. I love the difficulty. I love 2D platformers but get frustrated by most when they're really unforgiving.

Same here. And it's really starting to piss me off. The fact that there is no news about it makes it worse. I'd prefer if they told us that we're definitely screwed instead of making us wait. I became a PS+ member mostly because of this game and the damn thing's broken. I don't know who is to blame, the guys at Arkedo seem like really cool dudes but still, it really sucks. Maybe I should ask them a code to download it on 360, even if my console is old, noisy and tired, at least I know I could enjoy the game that I spent money for...

I think this game is awesome.

But i do not find mask number 21 and 36.

I Have 100% on all stage, except Volcano Zone, the first zone.
I have a few post-game missions left to do, but am still missing 100% on a couple levels. They're fully explored, at least they seem to be... Any idea what I'm missing? Does that mean I didn't find the hidden present?

I am having the WORST problems with
the sheep boss where you don't have access to your awesome jetpack/circular death drill machine thingie. I will probably have to get bck into the game soonish here so I can at least give it a shot. Also, stealth missions in ANY game totally suck. Nuff said. Help, please? Anyone?

I couldn't help myself. With the fun I had playing the demo and it only being 10$ for PS+ and that was more than I spent on snacks for a road trip to where I'm currently at I picked up the game.

Having an absolute blast so far. No regrets. So basically anyone humming and hawing on it just get it.

If this game hadn't gone on sale in Steam I would never have heard about it!

$3.74, gorgeous, great music, tight gameplay, relaxing and quite fun and funny too!

Been hoping for the 16bit days where a game impresses, doesn't treat you like a buffoon and is fun. Been a long time!

Really simple premise but fun!

Played my first prolonged session of this last night, and I've finally started experiencing the hard locks that other PS3 people have mentioned. Is there any hint of a patch to fix the problem?

Well, I managed to finish it without too many more hard locks. \o/

Not a bad game. Some frustration born out of fairly poor check points for me, and the controls are too sensitive when you need to be accurate and fast.

Not sure I have the patience to spam the fruit machine for that 10k trophy though. :/

Help!

There's this one monster killing mini game I can't figure out how to beat. I think it's called Chew Chew Rockette or something. The instruction is "A + B + X + Y" so I figure I have to try to mash all 4 buttons at the same time but it only seems to work 1/10 attempts. I'be died like 5 times trying to kill this monster because I'm failing the mini game, which is unbelievable frustrating as you can imagine. Any help?

Crazy thing is I had this same mini game once before and had issues with it but still managed to get by somehow and now I can't.

It's called "Chew Chew Raclette" and yep, that's all you do. Just mash all four buttons simultaneously. I can't say I ever had an issue with it on the PC version.

Finally got passed it. Now I'm stuck on yet another minigame, the search and destroy. Who thought giving me a 5 second time limit to find one little thing with a scope and shoot it was a good idea? I've died from failing it repeatedly like 3 or 4 times. I don't even really understand how I'm supposed to find the thing, I follow the background as it goes from purple to bright pink but I still don't see what I'm supposed to be shooting. Grr!!!

I'm getting really frustrated with the game. Specifically with some of these minigames. I find I can play the game for about 20 minutes before I get mad and have to do something else.

I agree there are little spikes of frustation. That mini game is a bit of a pain, kinda feel you have to be lucky to find the target.

Assuming I'm thinking about what you are talking about, you look at the crowds faces, they get sadder the closer they are to the target, which (If I remember right) is a demon/devil face.

Later on there is a sniper challenge (might be optional) which is a pain in the arse, you have like 30 seconds to kill 7-9 flying enemies on a map when you only have a tiny scope to see through.

I think I remember doing that one, yeah I think I had to try it a few times before I got it. Thanks I'll try the faces thing. My TV may be set too dark, I never noticed.

Would it be possible to patch an option to play with a zoomed out view? Otherwise, the PC port is flawless.
That'd be really nice. I was getting frustrated today with the enemies you have to keep bouncing in the air 10-12 times. Of course the camera is centered on the rabbit so you can't see where the enemy is when it's in the air, so sometimes it's next to impossible to know where it's coming down next so you can bounce it again. Either a zoom toggle option or more simply if they'd raised the camera up a little, and that wouldn't have been an issue.

I do like the game but my god it's overly difficult for no good reason sometimes. Something the demo did not prepare me for at all!

Beat it! Hooray! Strangely the end boss was a piece of cake, beat it on my first try!

All in all I enjoyed the game like I said aside from some frustrating moments.

Just got it from the Steam sale! I was going to ask about the DLC, but since its no longer on sale, I'll just see if I like it.

I was thinking of picking this up for PS3 in the EU PSN sale, but the stories about the technical problems are giving me 2nd thoughts. Is it really that bad? What's the word on the patch that people've been mentioning?

I only noticed problems on long sessions (2 hours+), other than that it was fine. Proper hard locks when it does happen though.

I'd be surprised if we see a patch, unless there's more DLC due.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
Well damn. Was thinking of picking this up since it's on sale for $5.99 on PSN, but reading about all the freezing and stuttering problems the PS3 version has, I think I'm going to have to pass. It's unfortunate there was never a patch.

This game is so awesome in just about every way. Beautiful graphics, catchy soundtrack and satisfying sound effects (love the money pick-up tones, reminds me of being in a casino), genuinely funny dialogue (I especially love the monster descriptions), and it's just a blast to play. The different quicktime minigames to finish off bosses are genius.

The only cons are that it's a little too easy, which I don't really mind because I'm enjoying tearing through it, and the controls are rather awkward.

Shame it apparently wasn't a popular game, more people should really give it a chance. One of the most crazy original titles I've played in a long while. Little bit Metroid, little bit WarioWare, even weirdly reminds me of Yoshi's Island in the way the platforming handles.

Perfect summary, anyone into platformers in the slightest needs to give this a go. Original, fun, colourful and over the top greatness. Shame there probably won't ever be a followup, has anyone tried out the IOS spinoff or whatever?

yeah, the iOS game I can pretty much take or leave. The game is broken into tiny levels, each with three objectives to complete (kill 5 enemies, collect 200 coins, defeat a boss in 20 seconds, don't shoot at all, etc.). For each objective you complete you get a star a la angry birds

The coins you collect can be used to upgrade your weapon or buy the different costume/wheel changes. No witty dialogue. No dialogue at all, as far as I've seen. And no Wario Ware esque minigames, you kill enemies by shooting them and that's it.

It's still kinda fun though and I think it's only 99 cents so, might be worth it if you're looking for something to play on iOS.

Played some of this tonight. Loved it. It's like a hilarious twisted version of Sonic rendered in beautiful fiery HD. It reminds of the old school Sega Genesis platformers except revived for the modern age which is of course an amazing achievement. Futuristic retro. The game managed to make me laugh in the first five seconds too (with the hilarious story introduction) and I can imagine I'm going to have an enjoyable time playing this. What happened to the studio? As far as I know Hell Yeah got decent reviews and critical praise? Did the game not sell that well?

EDIT: It was the Giant Bomb quick look that convinced me to get the game so if you're thinking about playing this watch that.

Closed down. It did review well. It sold alright. The development was difficult though. Originally they were going to make all versions but they bit off a bit more than they could chew. This meant delays and getting another studio to make the mobile version. I believe they decided after making such a big game, compared to their normal work, that they wanted to split up and go back to making smaller stuff independently.

One of the co-founders is active on Twitter and has done blog posts about it. He is now a one man indie studio.
