This stupid thing has been showing up recently when I'm online, whether the browser (Opera) is open or not. I've run and updated SpyBot but it doesn't find the offending spyware/adware/etc. Suggestions on what to try next?

RUN > type services.msc > Find Messenger and disable it. Problem solved

I find it better to suggest to people to navigate to control panel -> administrative tools -> services to get to the services menu. Makes it easier for them.

A lot of ISPs have starting automatically blocking the ports the fucktards who do that use.
