I wonder if Supes will have a theme, as such. Batman doesn't. Most of us have adopted Molossus/Like a Dog Chasing Cars as it, but there is no clearcut theme ala Danny Elfman's Batman score.

I would say it is a theme, with the two-note structure a running motif through the movies. That is what defines the music in Batnolman. Personally I consider LADCC more or less an expanded, heroic evolution of Molossus.

I remember Zimmer saying something like he didn't even want to touch this movie score cause he didn't want to even attempt to try to follow Williams score and iconic theme.

Wonder what changed his mind. A talk with Williams, more money?... really curious about why the change of heart.

My guess is that Zimmer will indeed give the movie a score with recurring motifs, but not the character himself. He will approach the film a different way and in doing so just not play the same game Williams was playing.

He's going to do his own thing, it probably won't be as iconic but as long as it works I am cool with it. His Batman themes didn't necessarily feel like they could only belong in a Batman film if that makes any sense, but they still worked within the film.
