Now make them add this on to PS5 Pro. I wish they would add HDR settings on the game level on PS5 so I could choose to have it on or off based on the game instead of system wide.

Truth to this. I used to be disappointed at games that didn't have it on the PS4 Pro but with it being on ALL THE TIME with games that aren't graded for it I'd take a properly graded and toned SD image over a blown-out un-calibrated HDR one.

Why not just Windows + Alt + B?

I do so on Windows even from my couch, you'll just need a small keyboard with trackpad for those specific moments when you need it and that's it, I mean you're still requiring to use a mouse and move to desktop instead of staying in Big Picture mode, aren't you?

both of you didn't read. when I'm not near my keyboard (recliner, sofa) this comes in handy. I have a remote for the PC that acts as a mouse

Btw, how come some games like Call of Duty is able to switch HDR on my monitor on and off automatically, while many other games don't?

I just keep HDR on at all times on my gaming PC. SDR stuff still outputs within the SDR range and I use RTX HDR for anything that doesn't have native HDR anyway.

You don't want to use Windows 11's HDR to SDR conversion. It transforms it to piecewise SRGB gamma instead of the industry standard 2.2. This error results in noticeably wrong and very washed out shadow detail in low IRE contrast. I can't even begin to fathom why they do this, it's completely nonsensical.
