YAWN:

Here's a suggestion to help you make a better use of your time--
GTFO of this thread, and don't read/post in Heroes threads anymore

Sorry but I tried to watch a few episodes the other night and the show is so incredibly bad, and when I say bad I mean its fucking insulting, for something thats apparently somewhat popular. It blew my mind. :lol

Didn't you say Half Life 2 is boring? and I'm supposed to accept your opinion on TV narrative as fact?

Yeah, not gonna happen.

Does having regeneration power means eternal youth? I don't read X-Men, so I'm not sure if Wolverine ages or not (but since the show is using some kind of scientific bases to explain their powers, I don't believe lizards live forever just because they can regenerate lost limbs). Anyway, I doubt Adam knew what time period Hiro is from, and while he has a connection to Kaito, we don't actually know if he realize that they are related.
Wolverine ages, but it's at a slower rate. With Heroes, I guess people with regenerative powers don't see their bodies hit that point where they start to deteriorate. So they just stay at their prime.

fuck all that bullshit about:
- what happened after the bomb?
- where did sylar go?
- what happened to dl?
- how did peter survive?
- who is elle?

i want to know how long adam had been imprisoned, and how he, as someone with only regenerative power, is able to get someone like maury to be his lapdog, much less peter

if they give us a re-write, theres nothing they can do from making the show NOT suck when the writers come back... this is gonna ruin heroes.. FOREVER!!!!!

It's all because of the strike.

How is the writers strike going to effect this season?
Didn't they already finished all the story and writing way before filiming each season?
i thought all they are doing right now is just filming each episode like 3/4 months before it goes to air?

i am going to be very piss if they cutting my Heroes short because of this

I enjoyed the episode, even though the writing is retarded and the acting is incredibly terrible. I actually wanted to see more of the show when the episode was done which hasn't happened since last season

My new dentist looks JUST LIKE Hiro. Like I had to force myself not to grin when he started talking to me. It was awesome. He told me that I need to floss more and I felt like Peter in the subway :lol

anyways, the show is meh This peter crap is really stupid so far and nikki dying is about a year too late. I don't know, this show is just all over the place right now and I can't help but think that they'd be better served by bringing in an actual writer at some point to help with things like plot flow, cuz as of now it's just a bunch of cool powers strung together by story pieces. "HIS DAD CAN TRAP HIM... uhh... LETS HAVE HIM TRY TO KILL PEOPLE AND MATT WILL SAVE THEM WITH HIS OWN POWER!!!"

I actually thought the matt and his dad thing with matt locking his dad in his own nightmare was well done. sure it's not shakespere but it's like a cheesy comic book come to life. that's what the show is like for me anyway, which is why I forgive the cheesy dialog and whatnot. it's just supposed to be a fun show about people with super powers, and i think it's done really well.

It's just we're like a third of the way thru the season almost and there's still no direction in the story yet. At this point last year they already had firmly established the "save the cheerleader" thing.

I mean, they've got the unexplained whatever from Ireland, Kirsten Bell, New Orleans girl, Mexican girl-- none of these people have any real role yet in the show. Sylar is floating around with the mexican girl for some reason after the most talented girl the Company had was killed by him and nobody cares.

the only person in the world that even notices Hiro-- the guy who saved EVERYONE last year-- is gone is Ando and he's still working an office job in Japan.

Bennet just went and killed a dude in Ukraine for some paintings.

It's just there's so much stupid shit going on right now with zero direction, and then on top of that they blast Peter into the future with his girlfriend and ditch her there while bringing him back?

Heroes season 2 is the television equivalent of Spiderman 3 for me-- tons of great ideas crammed into a teeny tiny place and not given room to grow. I mean, Christ, Heroes is more sprawling than Lost right now, and that's saying something.

and yet, somehow, kring isn't fucking that up half as badly as raimi did

the spiderman 3 with $400 PS3 bundle could've actually meant something

like half as much what the heroes season 1 with add-on hd-dvd player bundle means

Idk guys...I thought this episode of heroes was great. Much better than the past few episodes, and I think it's really building up to something awesome.

I think its literally just this episode come together...

Clare and her father have fallen out well and truly, Bennet is losing track of his priorities -- bringing down the company VS taking care of his family. His idea of taking care of his family goes against Clare's idea of what a good father should be too. We'd been led to believe that West may be the reason Bennet appears shot in the paintings, but this past two weeks, it's become clear that it may well be Mohinder who's guilty of pulling the trigger. And what if by the time this happens - Bennet deserves it?

Hiro's quest in fuedal Japan has come to an end, and now we know that his actions there have had far reaching consequences.

Next week we learn who or what intefered with Peter becoming an exploding man... Peter himself? People at Bob's disposal? Did the haitian take his memories? And I suspect we will also learn that Adam
breaks out with Peter and bewitches him into following his cause, unknowing that the nightmare vision of a worldwide apocalypse was likely caused by him. Heroes will be split down the middle, depending on who believes who, and that's where this season's struggle lies. And what of Sylar? How does he play into it?

There's a lot of things to keep watching for now IMO.

Why don't you and everyone else complaining go write a tv series (and get paid poorly) so we can all make fun of, criticize and trivialize your work. As a writer I find people like you annoying. The story is not just for you, it is for everyone. If you don't like it you don't have to watch it.

This by no means is intended to say that people can't voice their opinions but I find it odd that the same people are posting about the same things and still returning for more. That's not just dense, that's crazy expecting a different outcome when nothing has changed and you know it.

In some cases TV series are fluid. They are based on many things that don't directly deal with appeasing rabid fans. If an actor has other commitments, the simplest course of action is to kill them off. Sylar wasn't supposed to kill Candice for a number of episodes but Missy Peregym's contract with Reaper caused a conflict.

Kristen Bell won't save the show no matter how much you and everyone else infatuated with her masturbates to her. In the end, she's just Kristen Bell.

Maya isn't even Mexican.

HRG's actions have already been explained by a number of characters on the show.

Have you ever heard of pacing? Are you even paying attention to the show? Stop torturing yourself man.

It's obvious, he recruited Maury as they had similar philosophies and used Maury against Peter to get Peter to join him.

Also power of regeneration is probabaly the strongest power of them all besides Peter's/Sylar's absorb power.

im pissed than Kensai (or w/e) didnt turn out to be Linderman. That would have been a far better twist. Personally I dont think this shot lost it this season though. For me, it stopped being special half way through last season. Not sure why, but those later episodes just didnt grab me, and that trend is continuing

why would it have been Linderman? we saw him young when he fought with the army in comics with Nathan and Peter's dad...

I only started reading at page 3 but did anyone else notice that mama petrelli has powers similar, if not identical, to the Haitian?

:lol @ the Muhinder internal conflict scene when he's presented with the gun. Did George Lucas Write that?

BTW, this episode was awesome.

My thoughts...

* Suresh is an idiot

* Die, West, die

* Sylar & the Guatemalan (not Mexican) twins were a mistake and should never pop up again

* Peter has one face and the guy who plays him is a terrible actor

* Suresh is an idiot. Seriously, how is it the dumbest one from season 1 hasn't died yet?

That said, best episode yet, gives me a little hope for the rest of the season.

Why would that have been a better twist?

1) Linderman is most certainly dead. His casinos are shutting down. If he was going underground after his faked death and then re-emerged, it would be hugely retarded. (see #3)

2) If Munroe has a healing factor, he probably wouldn't age, making Linderman a stupid choice for Kensei's alter ego.

3) At no point in the past did Linderman ever show that he can cure both others as well as himself. Revealing that he can cure himself would be retardation on the level of bringing back Green Goblin. Classic Marvel rebirth stupidity.

Heroes is "comic book silly" enough without bringing back rightfully dead characters.

I'm not a script writer, but being a writer myself, I do agree with a lot of what you're saying. It can be aggravating when people return to their vomit, and then expect it to smell like roses.

EDIT: Why does everyone hate West so much? I mean, other than a manifestation of the competition when trying to find a girlfriend? He's creepy at times, but I think his character brings a certain amount of relief to the show. If it was nothing but hardass ass kickers all episode, it would be boring. You need a breadth of characters in a show to accentuate the abilities and positives of each character.

I thought it was also clear that Monroe's powers emerged during that solar eclipse which is why he was so shocked when he survived a wound that should have been fatal

Maybe you should watch the first episode again, the guy on the horse isn't Kensei.
Also that's just stupid.

Simply because West is a 2-dimensional character with some of the worst dialogues. Part of what he represents to Claire was already done back in season 1 in the form of Zach, who (albeit without powers) did a much better job as Claire's sole confidante and friend when she was dealing with her identity crisis. We may not all be writers, but I think most of us could spot a poorly written one, and West is the perfect example.

On top of all that, West is a punk ass bitch. It's been what, 6 episodes, and the dude has even gotten an open mouth kiss! I've gotten farther with girls in one day, regardless of whether or not their dad tagged me for super secret Company because I have super secret super powers which I use to get laid and pretend I'm Superman and/or a serial killer.

I'm really digging how they handled Parkman's character. He has seen the most development, out of all of the characters, this season. Not only has he gained some intelligence, confront his fears, and potentially become one of the strongest heroes on the show.

No Sylar is a plus for me, atm. I hope Hiro finishes the job, or, someone else takes him out. And if he gets any more annoying, I'll be rooting for the same thing to happen to Suresh.

Its good to finally see that Kensai is Adam. The man can hold a grudge like no other. :lol

Best episode yet.

I wish they'd just tell us exactly what her powers are already! From what happened, it didn't seem to me that she has the Hatian's ability. However, she certainly seemed to help Peter re-call thoughts that (I'm assuming we'll learn next week) the Haitian wiped.

maybe she's the opposite of the haitian? or maybe she can inject false memories into someones head?

Even the creator admits that storyline sucked.

If you're a writer then I'd expect that you would recognize that this show's writing is total schite. Just because you've got a hard-on for superhero primetime fantasies doesn't mean that the rest of us are going to ignore mediocrity when it's trying to be passed off as awesome.

So first off, chill with the Kristen Bell stuff. Did I say I'm infatuated with her? No. Just because GAF is overcome with Veronica Mars fans (understandably so, since the writers could, you know, follow a plot from point A to B) don't assume that I am as well. All I said was that there's no point for her character yet.

My apologies to all of Hispaniola for saying Maya isn't Mexican. She is, however, still trivial to the story line with nothing having happened with her for, oh, a third of the season now.

HRG's actions haven't been explained. He was looking for paintings? "OMG WE NEED TO HIDE LETS GO KILL PEOPLE FROM THE COMPANY." C'mon.

Ultimately you're grasping at straws, and I have every right to complain because I absolutely loved the first season. I'm a fan of the show and am pissed that the creators got so arrogant that they felt they could turn the show into the Everquest of superhero television. Maybe if the people like yourself quit blindly giving credit where it isn't due then the rest of us wouldn't have to suffer through shitty episode after shitty episode in the name "TEH AWESOME POWAZ" and they'd finally start trying to pull things together.

OH-- and good job on the "WHY DONT U GO RITE LOL" argument. Real classy... what is this, high school? I'm a consumer and ultimately these people appeal to me, so when something suck ass it's my obligation to the industry to speak up. People like you think you have a choice of either love it or leave it; People like me think that being shoehorned into thinking like you is ridiculously stupid.

YOUNG LOVE STINKS Kring regrets sticking Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with a super-dud boyfriend and forcing Hiro to moon over a cutesy princess. ''I've seen more convincing romances on TV,'' he admits. ''In retrospect, I don't think romance is a natural fit for us.''

"I just want to be a part of your life"

"I know you can heal Claire, but I don't want to ever see you hurt."

What they should do:

- More Matt and Nathan. Best character development of this season by far.
- Stop making Mohinder so stupid
- More Monica storylines, and stop it with the obvious body-double cuts.

Really enjoyed this episode. I've got the feeling it's finally all coming together. I give it two more episodes and basically everything should be clear.

HRG's actions haven't been explained. He was looking for paintings? "OMG WE NEED TO HIDE LETS GO KILL PEOPLE FROM THE COMPANY." C'mon.

Wants to bring down the company to protect his family and discovers through one of the paintings that he'll get killed so he goes after the other paintings to figure out when and how he'll be killed? All his actions are currently based around protecting his family. I thought that wasn't so hard to understand?

- More Matt and Nathan. Best character development of this season by far.
- Stop making Mohinder so stupid

Agreed. And Peter needs more direction (but that seems to be coming together now) while Hiro needs to get involved too (he's been on the sidelines for too long now, even though his actions seem to have had a significant influence).

Did you buy a car for the show? Or a DVD set?
Did you write NBC and Tim K. to let them know about the suckage?

You seem to have me figured out but you've got it wrong. Again.

Awesome episode.

BTW i think Kensei has a lot of abilities, not just regeneration, they probably develop over time. If not, Peter is more dangerous than him as it´s Sylar (as both could get a shitload of abilities and fuck you up). I mean, why the fuck will you be dangerous if your only ability is that you cannot die? they can lock you up and you will never escape without the help of somebody (if they keep you drugged)

Also, I wonder why kensei reunite a group of people with abilities in the first place after so many years alive. If he lived +400 years why he would get some people with abilities just for the last 50 or so years?

Plus want to know Bob´s ability, probably he is a badass as nobody has seem he doing anything.

Also (again) what´s up with the invisible guy? was he a part of the twelve guys?

I thought Bob had the Midas touch?

And the Invisible guy was just a mutant The Company captured and forced to work with Mr. Bennett.

The invisible guy worked with Bennet? The one who shows Peter to control his powers? I need to watch Season 1 all over again...
